My 6+ is also crashing to the home screen. Mine happens on the final wave of level 5 though instead of level 8 like buzznaut. Same result though...

Fun game. Gets pretty tough once you get around 40 waves, but not so much where you just rage quit. Kinda wish there were some achievements...
