Yeah I think they fail to replace the icon at a certain resolution, so wherever that particular resolution is called for, the default icon is shown.
Keep in mind there are 2 distinct types of IAPs (well 3 if you want to get technical), consumable and non-consumable, the above 2 posts only apply...

My bad, somehow I deleted the last digit in the thread number. It should work now.
I believe beating the game on challenging unlocks the alternate narrative, so you have to play through again to get to the alternate ending.
