I'm playing on iPod 4g just fine but mine is only 32gig.
I'm using an iPod 4G with the latest iOS and haven't had any problems. Didn't even have to do a reset before playing or anything.
That last screen shot would be a much better camera angle. Let's hope something can be done in a future update. :)
