You can turn auto aim off so it's traditional duel stick. If you been capturing creatures go talk to Scotty the Scholar (the one with glasses).

It's because most rock monsters have a super high defense. You gotta use the Breaker Punch ability, ya feel? That punch ignores their defense stat...
