1) It performs great and works. No BSOD ;) 2) Most software is made for Mac already.
If you're so obsessed with the Acer Aspire then why not buy it instead of asking for suggestiosn you won't take? And trust me, it's gonna suck...

You always need protection ;). But I'd recommend getting a screen protector and a case. Specially a screen protector.
