There are always two boxes with gems to choose, so yeah maybe one has to be extra lucky on the seventh day and choose the right one.
I only got it the first time and after that varying amounts of gems via the daily log-in. Have never updated since soft-launch and am logging in...

Honestly, i had to pause that Tutorial cause it kept on giving :) I´m not used to this kind of games, so all the submenues, the upgrading, forging...
There is a "guard move" if you don´t assign an attack card. Be prepared for a lengthy tutorial once you start it at first.
Permanent and global, not just that region. You only need one POW of each level to get the effect. Effect gets better though if you free all POWs...
I checked NZ store and it´s not available there, either. The article on the frontpage mentioned the 8th though, so maybe they release it tomorrow...
Honestly, i´m not fond of the idea to force players to change factions at certain points, but that´s just me. A toggle to switch between accounts...
