Make a website to promote the game for a $10 giftcard? Oh cmon you can provide better incentives that that. -.-'; What desperate marketing techniques before the game is even out.
It actually was a website that he would use as tge site for the company and that contest Is long over. Title is way out of date.
It's already past Christmas here. But it's true nonetheless. Ignore it since it's not applicable now. Oo
I was probably the first person, outside of the OpenFeint devs, to use the new OpenFeint. I had a few extra minutes in my busy Christmas day, so I did a few minutes of work. I got the email the minute it was sent and I immediately downloaded and proceeded to implement 2.4 Thank you!
I am currently working on sound for the car and I was wondering, how important is sound to you? Do you always listen to sound and really get into it? Or do you usually forget about the sound and focus on the gameplay? The more important it is to people, the more time I will spend on it and vice versa
personally I play like 80 percent of the time without sound, just because the speakers of the iPod sound crappy and I'm too lazy to plug in my headphones. I would say, at first focus the gameplay and the graphics, and when you're finished with that, head over to the sound.
Thanks guys! I will keep the sound minimal I instantly recognized it from Burnout Paradise Well, for now, I don't have a high level of skill when it comes to 3D models, so I doubt that I could make a hot rod. I do admit though, that would look really sweet! I might do a quick 3D model and if I think it is ok, I'll post it here for you guys to look at
i dont think i'd pay much over a dollar unless it has a point a to b race mode and a gps to help (a gps like in car jack streets; just an arrow to show the general direction)
I wish I could model that well, those Criterion games guys are quite skilled! I have been thinking about the price again and I may just put it at $.99. Then I would get the impulse buys As far as another game mode, I already have 2 Time Attack modes and a Campaign mode. For now, unless it sky rockets up the charts, I will stick with those modes. I agree though, a point A to B racer would be fun You have me thinking...
That is probably the wrong word, I meant Free Roam. I added the hidden jumps to Free Roam, so it now has a goal and I wanted to call it something else. What do you think that I should name the mode? Still Free Roam or something else?
Due to request, I made the elevated freeway into an obstacle course I also created a mansion with a fountain (even sound for the fountain), a long driveway lined with trees, and a few jumps scattered in there too!
but is there a and b????? if there is, then the game will almost definitely be worth 1.99 as long as the graphics are reasonable and the city is the right size. to be worth 2.99, just more maps/cities are needed.
There will be no A to B racing in version 1.0 of Empty City 3D. I made the decision to be in the stunt car genre. I agree that A to B racing would be fun, but that would add to the already extended developement time and I am already a feature freak If Empty City 3D sells well, I will most definitely do an A to B racing mode, but for now, it will "only" include: Time Attack 2 min., Free Roam, Time Attack 4 min., OpenFeint with online leaderboards, achievements, chat rooms, forums, etc., realistic 3D audio, incredible 3D graphics and phyisics, 20 hidden jumps that will keep you searching for many fun hours, and much, much more! I will be charging just $.99, so you can choose between Empty City 3D (which will last for hours) and a pack of gum
Then y vote goes to 99cents unforunately. Ideally, pricing it at 1.99 would be better at first since you can go lower. Ah well. Well see
