When I've been playing threes for ages, and I grow tired of it, I play 1024 and it makes me feel much more skilled because I can keep a game going triple the length, perhaps that's why I don't despise the game for being a clone.. It's like vanity clothing sizes, that are labelled a size smaller to make you feel good about yourself xD Threes is definitely more thinky. 1024 is a good alternative for those who don't like to think. (If you want a decent score I mean..)
The way 1024 copies Threes! is the same way Possible Road copies Impossible Road. They'd be better off with a total clone.
While this isn't as smooth as Threes! It has some nice new mechanic, plus, it's a nice balance to have an even version of the odd game, if that makes any sense. I think it really is worth the download. It's really is more of a nice clone, if such a thing exists.
How to stole an idea. Even for free i don't understand, like all these flappy birds clones. They should try to be a bit different, at least visually. Are the devs unable to have their own ideas?
Thought I would download this to compare with Threes! which is one of my favourite game at the mo. Yes it is a clone, but not entirely; 1 - a swipe here moves you as far as you can go in the direction of the swipe, until you hit a wall or another card. If the card is the same you merge. 1a - in Threes! a swipe moves you one square in the direction you swipe. 2 - the new cards appear randomly on the boards so planning is very difficult. 2a - in threes! the new cards appear only in the coloumn/row that you move with you swipe, this making it much easier to plan you moves. 3 - there is no preview of what happens with your move. 4 - there is no GC at all. So there is no way if I know my score is any good! 5 - scoring is the face value of the cards added together. 6 - there is nothing really to aim for whilst playing. No cards to aim for an 'unlock'. Doesn't seem to be any highscore recorded. Basically I have no reason to play this again. 7 - ADS. I know it is free, but on my 4S it blocks the top portion of the screen so I can't see what's actually going on up there. I think it just shows the score but who knows. The best way of describing this game is that it's sort of like an alpha version of Threes! The basic gameplay is similar, but Threes! has it polished and (in my opinion) perfected. Personally I can't see me playing this game again, as Threes is better and I have it.
The is actually gamecentre, I'll grab screenshot. I've also not had a single ad appear, I agree threes is the better version, this is a very simplified version which I'm assuming is targeted towards kids as it's listed as made for 9-11 yr olds.
Ugh dev turned ads on. I can't stand it when sneaky devs do a sale, then switch it to ad supported. Disappointing. Feel sorry for those who actually paid for this.
Heh, well that was easy enough to delete now that the ads are on. It's a competent clone but with a ridiculously simplified algorithm. Only had two tiles left for a complete set after about a dozen games. Not even 2/3 completed with Threes. Lacks the charm, depth and fantastic soundtrack from Threes.
