Really? It was one of the first adventure-type of games on AppStore with very high production quality. It's not exactly the point and click kind of game. The way it's presented is more like those dirty japanese games, you go form room to room, place to place, and there'll be people's face with expression and speech bubble. There was no competition yet at the time. Monkey Island and Broken Sword have been released after that, and to me they're much better games. Though to be objective, they're 2 of the best adventure games of all-time, so it's a little unfair to compare it to them. I hope Ep 02 will include some kind of built-in hints and better controls too like Broken Sword.
Hmm... Well I didn't get my iPhone until January 2009, so I guess I missed this, considering that it was an early game.
If you like adventure games, it's well worth your time. And don_k, it was a point-and-click adventure: you could interact with elements of the environment to find clues, objects, etc. I think the problem most people had with the game was that it was too short to give a clear indication of where the story was going -- truly a part 1 of a larger tale.
