I said X2 Football, meaning 2009. X2 Footy 2010 however could blow this out of the water. I'm just so excited, two great footy titles are a'coming!
In FIFA 10 you worked to score goals, and it actually felt like you achieved something when you did. It wasn't a perfect game, but it was much better than X2, in which the only achievement was remembering to push the shoot button when you could see the goal on the screen. It was so easy to score goals that playing was pointless. Not to mention the absolutely terrible running animations. To be honest, it looks like this new game isn't going to be that great; big yellow arrows to give you a hint when to play a through ball? How simple do they want the game to be?
IMO FIFA 10 is far better than x2 2009. i like the way EA implemented the control schemes coz the game became more challenging and gave gamers a chance to make fantastic plays or how you would score a goal... The only main drawback for me in FIFA 10 is the inability to save goals and post it in youtube. This should be out in the US by now right?
FIFA 2010 is buggy as hell and EA never bothered fixing some major bugs like the roster being shuffled and player performance stats getting messed up completely during a season...I gave up because of these bugs and EA not fixing them. It will be the same here - EA isn't changing the way they operate. Am eagerly waiting for X2 2010...
why should i buy this when i have fifa 10 and have national team .....it's a waste of money,no more football games.
FIFA 10's controls suck. The players would move before the ball reached them. This game fixes all of that.
Anyone seen any word on the release of this game yet? It is due today but so far I have not seen it in the US app store at all
Ah, I see. They always put the date that it releases for all their 'real' consoles. For the iPhone, I *hope* it's Friday (or earlier for that matter).
I have no idea what the deal is. EA gave a specific release date of April 27th for the north American stores and yet I have not seen anything up in the app store for it. So far it is a pretty bad way for this game to start out if you ask me.
Guys, really, I've read like 5 different sites on this game, and it's due out this Friday. Honestly, when EA give out press releases for a game as a whole, they don't care about the iPhone. Until they do, we shall take April 30th as a release date.
So far, it would seem as though EA hasn't really accepted the iDevices in with the other systems, as a respected gaming console. I say his because ever since last year when they started releasing big titles, there has been the same pattern. They will announce a supposed official release date for a game and the iPhone/ iPod version won't get until released, until weeks or months after the other systems ( ex. Madden 10, Need For Speed: Shift, and now Mirror's Edge ). Yesterday, I watched an interview with the Madden 11 developers. At the conclusion of the interview, he specifically named all the consoles and handhelds that it will be released on, come August 10, 2010. So I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Well if that's the case I can see this game not selling too well on the app store because if as you say it is going to be weeks or months late getting out for the idevices, people won't want to wait that long while the other consoles already have the game out and in stores. Personally I think EA needs to fire whomever sent out the press release stating the release date for the idevices was April 27th,especially if they have no intentions of releaseing it on time.
