Good skills but it's so cheesy to call yourself "Richard".
What the hell, your name is Riccardo, why should you americanize it?

One more thing: this is the right way to spell "iPhone".

richard2812 is only a nick name, probably the non italian people understand better the name richard than Riccardo the important on the nick name is to don't use something who can offend no one.
And for the spelling of iPhone you are right but i'm here for make art not to keep a certificate of good spelling in commercial stuff. That's it.

    :)

    Take it easy, man.

I don't get the "offending" part related to your name.
English understand your name better? What's the point?

I think he meant "it's just a nickname, the only thing that matters is that it doesn't contain anything offensive".
Plus, the point about english people understanding it better is actually correct; if someone tries to contact him, "richard" would probably be less prone to typos when writing his email address, as an english speaker may forget a c and write "ricardo" like in spanish or something like that.

Ah, that's clear, but it's like underestimating Americans.
I mean, I'm able to remembre how to spell Bjork, Woody Allen, Tila Tequila, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Yoko Ono.

Why is it that difficult for Americans?

Well... I don't want to go deeper in this. I just wanted to be a bit over critical... :)

    Have a nice day,
    K.

why was it so urgent for you to hijack the guys thread?! and what's with "iPhone" and his nick spelling correction thing, the guy can call it whatever he wants as long as he can create graphics, it's not his job to know "iPhone" proper spelling, and he join here under "DonkeyBo", as far as I'm concerned, THIS IS NOT AN ENGLISH ONLY GRAMMAR FORUM.

    give the guy a break!

Thanks to aspartan an thanks to all. I'm sorry if i've offended someone with my poor english and spelling... It isn't my mother language, than Spothlight (i'll suppose is not your name like richard isn't the mine) when you are able to speak italian like i speak english, probably i can take you reply to this tread more significant. Than I've posted here for searching a free lance job from someone is interested to my way to do art not how good I write Iphone Ipod or all that things. The important thing is I've made some game for Iphone without knowing how to write it, and you have made the same? Think about that :)

Ah, i've forgot it. I've lived for one year in England and usually everyone, also in important document, had forget to write the double C in Riccardo. Than not every people are smarter like you. Than this is why i use richard as a nick name and not riccardo.

Better yet, give the guy a job! That is why he is here, not for an English lesson. One whole page of bitching about nothing so far.

You're skills are good Richard. I don't need a graphic artist (others may disagree heh) but you'll find something I am sure. Good luck!

    Edit:
Here's a thread right below this one (at the moment) looking for an artist.

Well, this was just the Italian part.
What I said is that you have good skills, but I just adviced to spell iPhone in the right way when you're trying to collaborate with the so-called "iDevs".

I'm involved in this business and I tend to hire people who take care of all the small details. I'm not an English native speaker either, but when I have to post a business message I usually hire a proofreader. Don't know if I'm over-careful, but this strategy paid well in the past (and now).

I'm not telling that you're not professional because you don't know how to spell "iPhone", but between you and person with the same skills who knows how to spell "iPhone", I would hire the second one. :)
It's a matter of shape. Nowadays details matters.

Usually the people who make spell mistakes tend to be pretty "rough".
Again, I don't think you're "rough", but you could give this impression to your potential customers.

I want to point out again that your CV is impressive.
Can't you just take my advice and learn how to spell "iPhone"?
Your CV would look much better to PEOPLE LIKE ME, when they read it.

There are many competitors around. It's better to take care of all the small details.

Good luck for everything and try to listen to the advices.
Don't get angry for nothing... :)
