"When this baby hits 88 mph, you're going to see some serious S@#$!" -Dr. Emmett Brown, Time Traveler
So, here's my idea, its a work in progress so if anyone has ways to make it better, just leave a comment! But basically, I was thinking of doing a CSR Racing style game but with an 8-bit Back To The future theme. So, like CSR, the setup is a drag-racing style racer and the game mechanic is to shift gears at the precise moment to gain the most amount of speed in the shortest time possible. BUT! unlike CSR, the goal of 88 Mph is to get to, well, 88 miles per hour! There will be 6 or so gears (chances) to shift in a single play. It will be possible to fail to get 88 miles per hour, and it will also be possible to continually improve your time attempting to reach 88 miles per hour. The scene will open at Twin Pines Mall parking lot, just like in the movie. Marty will be filming Doc taking about the Flux Capacitor in front of the Delorean. Once the player presses start, the Libyans show up, Marty hops in the car and the race begins. There are only two outcomes: A) you hit 88 Mph, activate the Flux Capacitor, and you can guess what happens next! B) you fail to reach the proper speed, drive past Doc Brown, then the Libyans pull up to him and gun him down Possible incentives: -highscores via leaderboards -unlockable costumes -unlockable Delorean variations -unlockable era-themed game assets?? (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, I highly recommend that you watch Back To The Future I, and if you do, watch it again anyway!)
Ya I don't know how you can get away with this unless you use some creative methods. Idk. I hope it works out##
Well, I wont be using actual names, assets, or anything else thats copywrited. Just a reference to a beloved franchise!
