Oi! Calm down! Lol, I've not got a massive interest in NOVA series so wouldn't know what engine it uses. I just remember reading about Gameloft using Unreal, and then a bit later seeing a NOVA article and assumed.
Cool, so you're bringing the bad guys to justice, not killing cops. That is why I dislike Gangstar. It still seems to have pretty loose morals, though. :/
Looks pretty good. The graphics do seem like a step in the right direction, almost looks like GTA on the ps2 or is that just me
Graphics seem better, but character models are still mortifying. I hope the character you play has a real time shadow. That would be cool as hell.
hmm. I like the fact that they're going in a new direction from the Gangstar games but I really do hope they keep the free roam aspect.
Wow great Graphics! IOS games are developping so quickly and well these days, lol i already imagine gameloft working and making in the future a kinda like a ``GTA IV `` graphics game later lol how did u find the pic?! :S maybe it could be the icon yeah....
I don't think this is a clone. Just like Backstab isn't a clone. Which isn't to say that either Backstab or 9mm feature or will feature original ideas. Various aspects of gameplay will likely continue to be borrowed from other sources. Technically speaking, however, I don't believe this will categorized as an out-right clone. Also, Star Batallion isn't really a clone either.
+1 to that. Doesn't show any free-roam aspects in the game, apart from the guy driving and the fact that its showing a flythrough of a neighborhood....
Lol, they clone games before they even come out now? Damn, they've stepped it up. In any case, this looks pretty good indeed.
It looks like it's derived from the Rainbow Six engine. I've always wondered whether the Shadow Guardian engine is standalone since it doesn't look like it has been used again. The Rainbow Six engine looked like it was directly derived from the Splinter Cell engine rather than Shadow Guardian. Shadow Guardian showed that Gameloft is able to produce great visuals without resorting to 3rd party tech like UE3, so it'd be great if they could us it again in future games. Hopefully even if it is a more linear game, they include an explore the city/free-roam mode if the city is fully realized, ie. not designed in pieces for each mission.
It doesn't show much that's why it's a teaser trailer. It's whole purpose is to tease and get us talking and speculating. Still, looks interesting. Regardless, i'm sure I'll get it.
