There is a good chance that it might release this Thursday, but my guess would go to next week because they're probably still tweaking the multiplayer or something.
I seriously wish Gameloft did better work with animations. Why is the quality not that consistant? Shadow Guardian was the best I've seen from them. Anyway, I'll probably end up getting this as this is the first Gameloft game to interest me since Shadow Guardian. I love Max Payne 1 & 2, can't wait for 3. Hope the story for this is at least somewhat decent...
I'm not sure if you're referring to the animations in this game or some other Gameloft titles, but I'm pretty impressed by the character animations and graphics. Just look at the glossy gangsta jackets in the multiplayer trailer! When I first heard that the game would have multiplayer, my hype and anticipation for the game grew by ALOT. I'm sure the singleplayer will be good, but as soon as the game loads on my itouch, I'm definitely at least trying multiplayer first. Should be stellar.
I'm just disappointed that the only modes are team deathmatch and free for all. What about stash the coke? At least team deathmatch will be like cops vs robbers. And did you see in the multiplayer video the uncharted looking scene? 0:14
Just read the video description of the multiplayer trailer, and what peaked my interest was the part where gameloft states, "16 different weapons and numerous powerups." What kind of powerups? Well actually, now that I think about it, it'll probably just be different perks like in MC2 and Nova2 - greater ammo capacity, more health, etc. etc.
Yeah, I hope for that, too. More ammo and damage don't get along with the TPS style in my opinion, I think they should do some level system, which will allow the player to use some cool moves at higher levels, just like the FPS mechanic, but with different Power-ups.
