1. In the iBooks app, are you able to put personal notes down within your books? Or underline/highlight specific parts of the text that you think might be important? 2. Am I able to import iWork (or whatever the word processor is called) and Keynote documents into my Word and Powerpoint programs? Is it even possible to import/export between my PC and the iPad? Or do I need a Mac to do that? 3. How much are books running for on the iBooks store? And how many are there right now? Is there a website I can go to that has a listing of what books they have and how much they cost? Thank you in advance
You can highlight and color notes to reference later but you can't add any personal notes to them. From what I've seen so far the the really popular iBooks are the same prices as the kindle versions. I'm pretty sure most ofmthe kindle books are cheaper though because amazon sets the prices for them unlike the iBooks, where the publishers are able to set the prices.
That's really stupid, especially considering she's already loaded... If I wrote a book, after it had been out for about 14 years I'd probably not care if a couple hundred people pirated it... Of course I say that now... ...
I don't disagree with what your saying, but it's hard to question Rowling's opinions considering that she's piratically a BILLIONARE through writing a book series. This is unheard for an author
Steve Jobs mentions that you can save Pages into a doc format http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/29/steve-jobs-compares-ipad-battery-life-to-kindles-youre-not-g/ He also mentions that ibooks will be the same prices as Kindles which came off as a bit surprising to me. Amazon wants the standard prices of ebooks to be 9.99 while Apple's pricing is a bit more flexible with higher prices. Steve sort of implied that unhappy publishers might pull their books from Amazon and price them higher on the ibook store.
