Please give us the update if you ever wind up releasing it for iPhone. I think this game is right up my alley but don't have an iPad, unfortunately!

started work on porting it to the iphone last week, the gameplay is already done, tweaking all the bugs that were introduced during the conversion. I'm hoping to submit it in a week or two.

A Long Way Home 1.1 was just released. It's got some bug fixes, the drift zone has been adjusted, and the asteroid belts have better representation of the danger zones.

    Got another bug.
Last level of galaxy 3, it switches asteroid without me even jumping. It happens when I rotate on an asteroid and pass close to another one. There are even two asteroids where the switching gets into an infinite loop!

Also, can you please add an exit button! I ad to reboot the app to go and check the level number!

which asteroid causes the problem if you start from the top left.

and three fingers brings up the pause menu, and you can choose the level select option

Good to know about the three finger.
I will have to check once back home, but I think two are in the left bottom corner (not the lowest ones) and two are central in the screen (more or less).

Just bought the game after watching the video :)
    Why?
Space, Ambient Music, somehow strange, One-Man-Indie-Dev-Show :)
Going to play it right now.

yes, replicated and resolved. It'll be in 1.2.

but i can tell you, if you're headed in that direction, you won't beat the level :)

    Thanks!

I think the game would be doing better if apple didn't screw up my New and Noteworthy feature and put it in the iPhone list.

Is the iphone version going to be a universal update to this game or a separate game?

If yes, will buy the game now... if not will wait for the iphone version...

    Two more.
I a in galaxy 4 and even if passed level 5 is locked.
Level 4.9 has the same issue with moving suddenly to anothe asteroid. This only for the two ones on the belts.
    I discovered by mistake ....

    Upgrades as gameplay element...

Arrrgss, that's sad... You get NaN and then in the wrong device category...

    Ok, now for your game.

I played a few levels and I like the atmosphere, the sound and the graphical style.

What goes for the gameplay I think it needs some more diversity or additional gameplay elements e.g. Upgrades... ;)

Here are some Upgrade suggestions. I am not sure right now wether it is better to have endless amounts of each upgrade or each upgrade level gives you a specific amount of uses.

Thrusters - 1,2,3, ... X thrusts to adjust your path of flight slightly.

Gravity Boots - Increase the influence the gravity of an asteroid has on you . So you can be a little farther away from it to be caught by its gravity.

Armour - Let you survive 1, 2, 3,... X Exploding Asteroids. You still have to be lucky to be thrusted in the direction of another asteroid or be equipped with some thrusters to bring you closer to one.

Atomic Asteroid Annihilator - 1,2,3, X Megablasts which destroy an asteroid.
Maybe adjusted to the size of them, e.g. 1 blast destroys a small asteroid and transforms a middle sized one into a small one, a big one into a middle-sized one etc.... So you need more blasts to destroy bigger asteroids.

Grappling Hook - Can be shot at asteroids so you can:
    1. Orbit it like a satellite. When you release it, you will be thrusted in space. Direction depending on rotation of asteroid.
    2. Pull yourself towards the surface of the asteroid.

Ok, how to get these upgrades?

1.Maybe you give the player points after each level and he can visit some kind of shop where he can decide which upgrades he will buy.

    2. Or he has to collect something like the super rare stardust which then can be turned in at an alien shop/alien wreck/ space station/ gigantic sales machine etc... which can be found on the bigger asteroids or floating in space.
I would add different shops, so you have some surprise elements and you maybe can have some dialogs with aliens/robots which adds to the story.

Ok, maybe some of this is useful for you. :)

  20. That's a great question.

That's a great question, want to think about
