The art really classy and elegant, one of the best selling point from this game. Really looking forward to play this game
Wow, the art is brilliant. I'm a huge fan of 'The Room'-likes, and this classy, jazzy art isn't helping me keep my wallet in check either! Any info on pricing? Thanks!
Thanks @copaeci. That art was from a story moment in the game and then when you get into the game it's all in 3d but styled to look like 2d. Most people think it's 2d until the camera zooms in on something! Hahaha sorry bout that @TheGreatEscaper. We're making it a premium game so not looking at any IAP at this point, just trying to make it a really good game that people can pay for once and be done with it. It will potentially be around the $5 mark but we haven't locked it in just yet. Any tips for what you think is too much or too little for a puzzle game like the room?
$5 sounds perfectly fair to me I wouldn't even mind paying a little more, if the length justifies the higher price. But for games like this $5 is the usual benchmark. Some go for $3 but IMHO this game looks like it's worth more than that! And yup, I'm glad it's a premium experience
I love the retro spy/agent feel and the stylized graphics. I look forward to playing. I believe $5.00 is fair or $4.99. (Believe it or not....that 1 penny off can make a psychological marketing/sales difference) I am truly excited abot seeing this one!
Yeah definitely! I try to think about what i'm happy to pay myself when buying an app and it does come down to the amount of gameplay and the quality for me. Like a game such as Framed, I was happy to pay $7 for because it was really high quality and had quite a few levels to play through. So yeah once it's finished we'll be playing through it and working out if it's long enough to warrant $5+ or if we do need to drop it down. Thanks @Lavender! Yeah it's funny that isn't it, the 1 penny/cent difference haha! Also sometimes if I see what looks like a premium game at a cheaper price like $1-$3 I kind of think, hrm maybe it's not very high quality or something. Another weird psychological difference.
Haha! Love that show Here's a WIP screenshot of one of the scenes in game, as you can see the UI is just placeholder but we're getting there! This is all 3d inside Unity. Tapping on certain things zooms the camera in for closer inspection.
Another couple of work in progress development shots for y'all to check out, this is one of the scenes you can explore during the game and try to find hidden objects: From inside Unity: And the end result running:
If anyone is interested we're going to take a few extra Beta testers for Agent A? You'll be able to play the first part of the game and let us know what you think so far! Just reply here to let me know if you're interested. Thanks, Mark Yak & co PS Apologies if you miss out as we can't accept all requests at this time.
Hi, I'd love to take part in the beta test! I know it's been said several times (and probably even by me before) but the art style really is gobsmackingly gorgeous, and I'd love to see it in action. Thanks!
