Future games most probably will ditch the other social platforms in favor of Game Center. You either upgrade your device, or avoid buying GC games.
Well consider yourself lucky that all you miss out in this case is the Game Center achievements. Many of the upcoming games will only be for the newer devices so one of these days you will need to upgrade.
It continues to baffle me that my Pentium Pro system still can't run Crysis. What's up with companies abandoning their customers just because the customer has equipment that's more than 1 or 2 generations old? On the plus side, I think I may have foiled Steve Jobs nefarious plans. I'm *really* close to having iOS 4.2 running on my Newton PDA!
