A good way to attract attention to your art post is to post some actual art. I don't think you're going to get too much interest unless you post a GIF or two.
There is a little icon that looks like a picture of some mountains and a sun on the bar on the message interface. If you click it, it opens a window into which you can put your link, and image tags will be automatically placed around it. As long as you have your image hosted somewhere decent, you shouldn't have any problems. Give it a shot!
