After purchasing this and reading this, I thought why not try something like this: Idea: Get a bunch of indie devs who wanted to use their app(s) for a good cause or merely get more discovered put their apps in a bundle (hence humble indie bundle), and package them as one app and put it on the appstore. After apple takes the 30% (I think it's 30%), we put 35% for all the devs to split, and 35% to charity. Objectives: 1.) Help charity 2.) Do something that hasn't been done in the app store before 3.) Help indie devs in the increasing congestion of the appstore The App: Since the apps would probably make the app a couple gigs depending on number of apps and size of the apps, I would propose that you download the apps you want via the app and choose what you want. Also in the app would be an option/poll if the purchaser wanted to put their money all to devs or all to charity, if they would choose so. Also there would be a poll to choose which charity(ies) they wanted the money given to. The app, in app store tradition, would be 99 cents. What is needed to go from concept to reality: Massive Indie Developer support (actually willing to put in their apps for this TouchArcade member support Someone to build the app Someone to host the servers And spread this by word-of-mouth People who would like to help this become a reality This is a concept, and the odds are against it, I know. But if this becomes a reality, well then, itÂ’s a giant win/win situation, helping developers and charity. Also please don't troll/hate. If this really cannot happen for some reason, you don't need to be a jerk about it.
