Wow, I just read that appshopper got pulled from the App Store. I wonder if this app is also in danger?

So do you suggest this app as a good replacement of appshopper?

I'm going to continue to use AppShopper. It may not be in the store but it's still on my iPhone and backed up in iTunes on my PC.

I still need to try Appzapp. Greyskull said it's the main one he uses to see sales before they hit the US appstore... so that is enough of a ringing endorsement for me.

So is this better than the Appshopper app I've heard about lately? Why doesn't this get banned too? Is it because of a non-Appstore interface?

Anyone else stopped getting alerts on price drops lately? For example, I have a seller alert for Square Enix if any of their stuff goes on sale but never got a notification. I still took advantage because I check new sales and freebie obsessively, but I usually get a heads up.

Yea AppZapps servers probably hammered right now, that plus a slower AppStore in general. I'm guessing it'll go back to normal once all these Christmas sales are done.

  8. I think it is better. Lists more apps. But appshopper seens to filter better, so may it's a wash.

Well it looks like the feature I wanted already exists in Appzapp HD. Under the Settings there's a switch for "Hide MyApps". So that should hide stuff I own so I don't see sales on it and can focus just on the stuff I don't own.

I registered for an account about 30min ago... still waiting on the email so I can start populating the list of what I own so I filter what I'm seeing. Hopefully it comes through soon.

K... i didn't know where else to ask this - and I can't find an AppZapp help anything anywhere...

Is anyone else having issues syncing their iTunes library to their account? I keep trying the program, but once it gets to the sign-in menu, I put my username and pw in, and then it just sits there. I just tried again, and let it go for about 2 hours on that menu... with nothing happening.

Is there something else I need to do? I've tried looking in the AppZapp app to see if I need to activate something in my account before it syncs, but couldn't find anything...

just... looking for help, or maybe some info.

    Thanks.

Did you go through the email confirmation for the account with AppZapp? I couldn't even use the feature to mark apps I own until I got the confirmation and it took a good hour or so before it came in. Since then I've used the app to mark what I own. I don't have as many apps as you (only around 1,600) but I figured it may have issues with that... especially on the apps I own that are in iTunes on my PC but not actually available on the AppStore anymore. So maybe that's part of the issue.

It is nice being able to mark what I own and eliminating games from view... same with eliminating devs that I don't like due to shady practices from ever showing up in the list of new deals.

Yeah... I activated my account. a while ago... I've got apps marked in the app on my iPad - and every game that I have installed on my iPad in my list of apps... I just can't get the sync application to complete it...

I wonder if the having apps that have been pulled thing is an issue...

I'd think about going through and removing them from the folder that sync app is reading, but that'd just take forever to find out what apps have been pulled and what apps are still available... =o/

Oh well... I'll get over it.

    Thanks.

It would be a cool feature if it works.

I may download the sync tool and see if it works for me. I only have about 1/2 of the apps I own downloaded to my pc... maybe it would work on a smaller sample... though I gotta wonder how it handles apps that aren't on the store anymore.

Bumping this because there was an announcement today that apparently AppZapp will be pulled from the App Store. Something about them no longer being able to offer it in it's "current state". So it's being advised to download either the standard or pro versions ASAP (both are currently free).

It's strange because they just released a massive overhaul to fit in with iOS 7 better.

Sounds like they're going to try to come back with a new version at some point.

I'm wondering if the app will still function in it's current state until a new version is released. It is, IMO, still the best app / price tracker on the store.

Disappointing news. It's a really good app. Probably be along the lines of what AppShopper app became.

Edit: here you go spajdr. Screenshot from their app.

It's a shame. AppZapp was/is the best app to actually browse the whole store (can't do that with Apples AppStore app). See newly released apps, sorted by category or not, (can't do that with Apples AppStore app). And much more (you can't do with Apples AppStore app). So it wasn't just a price tracker thing. It'll take years for Apple to make something as good as AppZapp, if ever.

That's a damn shame. It's probably my most used app. If it's pulled will they even keep their servers going? I suppose as long as they can display ads and people are using it there might be some incentive...

Better than any other app I've used, including TA. It copes with the alternate pricing scale for the UK (69p/99p apps) for example, where most other apps assume a USD0.99 app is always 69p.
