I would love it too, I'm a huge fan of RTS on iPhone and I think that this one is a nice looking one! I like the screenshots a lot
Thanks! It isn't dynamic. It is baked into the level. I'm working on the next map and will release a render of it when I'm done. =] Yeah there will be a beta. I haven't played quantum collapse yet. What was it about the game that you are hoping its not "another" of? On the other note. I just finished creating the second map I have a few screen shots of the units in the map to give a sense of how it looks like in game play.
That map looks super cool, but it seems like there might not be a lot of tactics there. I mean, it looks like all you can do is just puke ships towards the middle. and hope you win. Also, are there going to be structures and such in this game? How will you get resources. Quantum collapse was fine, but they promised a huge online multiplayer update with voice chat and win that never happened. Plus it was glitchy.
Map02 is made for air units. You can send your ground units to block off the choke point and use air units to attack your opponents adjacent to you. Right now for resources it will be building a AP booster in certain location on the map. We aren't releasing much detail on that yet as it will be saved for the beta. Our game is focused primarily on online multi-player similar to eliminate. I just finished Map03: 3 more maps to go and I am done with maps. I'm going to switch over to finishing up the Alien race and by that time everything else should fall into place for the beta.
I've been keeping my eye on this game for quite awhile now and it looks to have tons of potential to become a very very good RTS game. However i just have one concern. When I look at your maps I feel that they are too constricting and that there are too many chokepoints. Now the addition of air units is nice but I'm sure everybody would like a nice open battlefield that allows for some strategic manuevering(the first map has a good open area in the middle but I feel that is too small). IMO whether this game has open battlefields without that many chokepoints will be whether I buy this or not.
This is a good point, but it may or may not be a legitimate worry. If they make the ground vehicles this hard to move around they'll probably rule or be super inexpensive. It could work depending on how they balance it. Although, I too would appreciate some more battlefields. Larger perhaps?
Based on your comments I have revised Map03 since it had too many choke points. I plan on making a variety of maps with different terrain styles. Here is the revised version of map03: Let me know what you think.
I like that map much better than the first, much more potential for different tactics to be used. Keep it up!
Thanks! I just finished completing Map 04. Here are some screen shots! As far as production goes we are hooking up all the little things. Most of the big tasks for the game is completed. The system and framework is in place. We are going to start polishing up everything soon and prepare for beta testing. I still need to finish up 2 more maps and complete the Alien Race.
New map update Map 5 has been added! I made it a darker design with hints of blue and warm hues. One more map to go!
