I'll just toss in my thoughts on this. Disclaimer: I am not against people playing free games, if people only want free games, that's totally up to them and that's fine. I won't allow freemium/f2p games on my devices, I feel they are an utter blight on gaming and I won't encourage developers who use them. They are designed from the ground up to entice you to play and then once you are hooked, bleed your wallet dry with iap and consumable despicable nonsense. I feel this is an awful business model as the game is designed to bleed as much money as possible and gameplay is a secondary issue. However I am more than happy to pay a decent amount for proper games, I would happily pay $1-$30 for good iOS games, with no iap. Games that are designed for fun and entertainment, designed for me to enjoy, not designed to bleed money from me or restrict my gameplay with ridiculous timers and such. Yes, I know I'm pretty much a lone voice in the iOS world but so be it, there are a lot of exceptional games out there at excellent prices if you look hard enough through the mountain of freemium trash. One last point, I wish Apple would put a free game filter on the App Store search, it's quite tiresome to search for a game and have to scroll through 300 free games to find something you might buy. Filtering out free games would help a lot.
Result from the questionnaire Hi, everyone thank you so much for all your helps so far. I've got 116 respondents already and I wish it'll keep going, the more the merrier I believe that most of you probably curious enough about the result, so I decided to publish the temporary data here (can be change when there's new respondent come in). Here is the simple analytic about the result based on 116 respondents Based on this 'mini research', it's clearly seen that most people hates timer... along with energy system also I'm bit surprised that people think banner ads is most suitable for the game as long as it's not disturbing the gameplay. Others opinions that listed as comment for developers will be published later Much much thank you for TA community, really glad for being here and hope there'll be more respondents later.
