Yeah, I too think some of this stuff is going way too far too. Gameloft Ryan has been kind to come here to provide information on A8, joking about hurting his friends or family is just way too far. Even if it is a joke.

I hope you all realize that NONE of this Aug 8th release date stuff has been confirmed by Gameloft. It has all been speculation and not based on any facts, that is why I was asking for facts earlier not just user speculation here.

So there should be no anger at Gameloft, they have never stated they would release on the 8th. Anyway, for all we know this press conference could be a report of when the actual date of the release.

So whether it launches thurs or not, great, but I would have to say, I really don't think it is fair to criticize them at this time for it. And especially this cruel and threatening remarks needs to stop.

If it comes out on thurs, great a great game releases, or if we find out it will release in a week or later, we can all wait. It will be a great game, so let's all be patient and kind to the publisher for coming here and keeping us informed.

Well, to my understanding when Google held a press conference announcing the new Nexus 7, they demoed Asphalt 8 and ANNOUNCED that it would be available on Google Play on August 8th. So Gameloft apparently confirmed the Android release at that time.

So it's more than just speculation. And you'll see tha date on numerous Android gaming sites.

Now, I don't know that that also means the iOS version is coming the same day - do that indeed may be assumption. Frankly, I'd be shocked if they released it on Android earlier than iOS.

Only time will tell.

 

Anyway, well, I still believe saying stuff like hurting family members is going way too far. It was the other statement, not really your initial joke kj. That is all. Thanks.

Yeah, I realize all the above, and it all makes sense, but bottom line Gameloft never said the ios version was coming out on the 8th. And you always have to factor in unexpected delays sometimes happen too sometimes.

I kinda would think that most companies would want a one or two week notice of their game releasing for maximum press coverage. Many devs go to boards like a month early promoting their releases.

To release with no warning would seem detrimental, but it will be interesting what happens on the 8th. Really, I don't mind either way.
