But this is going to be a separate purchase or like a free update for AD owners (like Boost 3D->Boost 2)? I didn't know a new game was coming. Shouldn't I just wait for that one then?
It's an entirely new game, not an update, and it will be markedly different to this one. You'll want both. ^_^
That's nice, but I was clearly telling Bronxsta about the upcoming sequel in response to his question about possible new content.
I see. So that's why Another World was 0.99. Oh, and I decided to get both A8 and AD. Both were too good to pass up. Saving A8 to fully enjoy once I get an iPad Mini and have AD on my phone now.
That's nice, but he was clearly answering the question "why is this on sale?" The price drop has nothing to do with the new game and everything to do with the Bulkypix summer sale.
Then perhaps he should have responded to that question, not my post. I never said it did. Bronxsta asked if new content was coming, and I informed him about the upcoming sequel.
Thanks for the info guys. Very happy that I got this. Only on the second Campaign mission and it's really good. Tons of strategic depth. Love that you can ambush enemies by hiding in the forest or just set the tires on fires. The art style is absolutely gorgeous and controls are perfect
Oh nice, I have been wanting to play Autumn Dynasty even though I don't have time, but for $0.99 I will grab it and even if I only play it once I will have my money's worth. I'm also grabbing Eclipse while it is on sale today, so all I need now on my wish list is Agricola, Sorcery!, & Starbase Orion.
I was going to pick this up, but I refuse to support this new $1/£1 pricing tier that penalises us for not being in America. If they ever fancy dropping to the proper $1/69p tier then I'm in.
Im sure you have a firm sense of principle, but isnt missing out on a $7 to a £1 drop still seem like a lost opportunity?
Who knows when it'll be that low again? The game is fantastic. Hard, challenging especially to a RTS novice like me, but so much fun, extremely gorgeous, and the controls are perfect
I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way, granted it's a decent sale regardless but I don't think that this is a good precedent to set. If companies want my business then they'll treat me with equality, besides it isn't like there aren't a multitude of good games / publishers that don't feel the need to try to take an extra third as much money again as I live in the wrong country.
Maybe if I'd been blown away by the demo - or if I wasn't already drowning under a wealth of great games I haven't got time to play - then my principles would waver a bit. Really though I can't see any justification for this pricing tier.
Publishers Ultimate pricing decisions - by the publishers. Game devs are generally dependent on their publishers - be it the release of new content or sharing of promo codes or even price drops. We have little idea why.
