Sounds like you need to clear out your cache (i.e. Junk files). I use Battery Doctor for this and memory and it works great. Here's a link: Battery Doctor - Must-have Battery Management App by KS Mobile, Inc. https://appsto.re/us/gRZTK.i Hope this helps.
Couple other tips. Open power down menu by holding sleep button, then hold home button until return to home screen. This will free all avail RAM and is a technique few kno. If jailbroken install iCleaner, best cleaner avail hands down. Cheers.
Nice one pal! That helped, freed up 300mb+ of space! I think I probably have a large "other" section for some reason, will have a look at actually connecting it to itunes and having a mess around with it. that battery doctor app is pretty damn useful though!
Awesome! Glad to hear that it helped you. I find that you'll find more junk files if you run it a few times. I usually just keep running it until it says "No Junk Files." That being said, hopefully you'll be able to clear up some more space. I use Spotify a lot and I've cleared a full GB of space before.
If you download it through iTunes on a mac or pc you should only need to free up 4 gbs. But definitely get battery doctor, or something of the sort, it is essential for us 16gbers. So, I guess there's no point in asking if I should get this one? The only FF's I've played were VII and X, but since everyone is raving about this, it seems like I shouldn't miss this opportunity. It just makes me sad to delete xcom, but I guess I've played that to death, anyway...
I used to have a jailbroken phone and LOVED using iCleaner. It kept me free from junk. A nice feature that it has is the ability to select which apps to clean. That way I could make sure it didn't wipe all of my game saves. So, I tried Battery Doctor, but it warned me if I clean my phone, it might wipe game saves. Is there a way to select which apps Battery Doctor cleans by any chance? I, too, am getting ready to download this beast. Man, I have so many large games on my phone right now.
On the App Store, the app says it's about 2GB. So, downloading on a phone, shouldn't we only need 4+GB on our device? On a computer, it would only take up 2GB of space to download. Once you transfer it to your device, it would uncompress to 4GB, right?
I don't know of any way to select specific files to clean, however, I will say that I've been using this app for a while now and have never lost any game data (actually ANY data for that matter). Hope that helps.
