K, I've got 1 more code to hand out tonight. Same rules, first one to PM me and is willing to play the game for a bit and then come back and post their impressions here and on the App Store gets it Regards, Fletch (LunaSea Games)
Just got a chance to play and I'm loving it! I love how the you flick plasma at the ememies rather than flicking the attackers individually. There are a lot more enemies on screen and a larger sense of urgency because of it. I didn't read the help file and just played while upgrading different things but still got pretty far (wave 19). I'll put a review on intunes in the morning after I lay this for a few more hours
I'm beginning to think that we priced the game too cheap . I keep on hearing the same sentiment that it's a steal at 0.99.
This is one heck of a fun castle defense game. I like the top down look from the castle's edge... that's something you don't see often. The music is FREAKIN' INCREDIBLE. Made me want to put on a suit of armor and fight someone. Outstanding choice! I really liked that the enemies intermingle in later stages. Most of these types of games seem to have one type of enemy per wave. This forces you to prioritize which type you attack first, the easy to kill guys or the guys who take several shots to take down. LOVED the skeletons when they finally die. Very impressed that you chose to offer this at $0.99. Definitely worth more right now and only getting better. I'll leave iTunes feedback soon. I can't see to get on tonight.
Love this game! It does so many things right... - Top down view for DYC gameplay instead of a sideview --awesome! - Casting spells at enemies as they approach instead of flicking them into the sky repeatedly -- awesome! - Area of Effect spell --awesome! - Skeletons when enemies die --awesome Additions that I would like to see: - More variety in spells. I would love to see some fireballs and ice bolts! - More maps with strategically placed obstacles - More enemy types and maybe some big boss type monsters Oh...I don't mind if electrifying the castle wall to take out tons of enemies does damage to you....but please don't let your castle be damaged by the regular spells when you try to pick off enemies. I find that I'm damaging myself more than the enemies when I try to eliminate the stragglers that get close enough to the wall....sometimes I think it might bet better to just let the archers get those, lol. This is a fantastic game that is polished and well done. Very refreshing to see a different take on the DYC genre, especially with respect to the top down view and slinging spells.
At this point we're thinking of making a game option to turn "friendly fire" off. That way we can leave the original gameplay in for those that want it and those that are concerned about the effect is has on gameplay can disable it. Our plan is to continue growing this title and adding a lot of new features. First up are high scores, leaderboards and achievements. We feel that this will help significantly increase the replay value of the title. After the first update we'll be making additional gameplay related updates. This may include new spells, bosses, gameplay modes, I'm not going to say . At least not until we've rolled out the first update. Oh, and if you haven't posted your impressions up on the app store, please take a sec and do that. Continued sales of Battle Shock rely on people talking about it! Regards, Fletch (LunaSea Games)
Battle Shock featured in "What We're Playing" in iTunes! ($0.99) I just found out a couple hours ago that Battle Shock is currently being featured in the "What We're Playing" section of iTunes! This is a complete privilege and we're all extremely excited. Let's keep the momentum going! Fletch (LunaSea Games)
I caved in and bought the game yesterday and I really like it! A new twist on the classic 2.5D Castle Defense gameplay. I hope you're very successful with the game and worth 2.99 IMO.
PM me if you're interested in getting a promo code to review the game. I'd be interested in seeing your take on it since you just reviewed Knights Onrush.
New Promo code giveaway I've got a couple more promo codes to give away. Same drill as before, first to PM me gets the code. I'm looking for someone who's interested in playing the game and then leaving feedback here and in the app store. Good Luck! Fletch (LunaSea Games)
Guys don't miss out on this....Battle Shock is totally awesome. Even if you don't get a promo, buy it!
Good game Sorry this isn't organized, but here's my quick impression. Battle shock is a great castle defense game. I like the learning curve and easy to get into aspect. The difficulty progression is great because I hate the defense games that take ages to become difficult. Great response and it's easy to start and save games. This desperately needs the update the developer is promoting and maybe a few more weapons. Overall I think it's one of the better dollar games, but currently the replay value suffers. It should be noted that i'm not a particular fan of these castle defense type games, but this one kept it interesting.
