Looks awesome, has a price been set? Trying to conserve my itunes gift card balance and this one might be worth budgeting out for.
(laughs) Oh, yes I know that one all to well since going the indie route. In the last two months or so all three of us have gotten sick, and one of us got a serious strain of pneumonia which put him out of commission for three weeks. Good luck on your release - I'm looking forward to it.
Haha, yes indeed... when your team is only 1 or 2 people your productivity evaporates when someone is ill, or just in a creative rut. Regarding price... either 2 or 3 bucks. $2 has worked well for us historically, but this game is a lot more content rich than our previous titles, and is universal to boot, so $3 doesn't seem like a crazy proposition either. And as is our custom, we'll no doubt put together a lite version after release for those who prefer to try before they buy.
Celebrate New Years? It'll be released in the end of January or beginning of February. Only $1.99-$3.99 is too low for all the content, quality, and work put into this. I''m thinking $4.99. But then again, majority of iDevice gamers dislike paying that much. This showed when EA made BFBC2 one of the top grossing by making it $0.99. However, that was only because of the title and no one actually paid attention to the quality. I'd say chance it and make it $2.99. Nothing lower.
I'd say 3.99 its a price you normally don't see in the app store. I think it would be good because your offering almost double the content of zombieville.
Well its certainly encouraging that you guys think its worth a more "premium" price just based on the stuff you've seen. We're still likely to keep it lower just because I'd rather have more people play it than try to squeeze our fans and early adopters for an extra buck or two.
Much admiration to you, for a great stance on honest pricing and being kind toward your fans. I hope Battleheart will be a resounding success.
Well, I can honestly say that I'm happy with that decision too. Definitely going to buy it and gift it to my friends.
Because of all the content/polishing that the game is going through D It's like an app going through puberty. At the end of it, it enters the App Store xD
... because we are not robots, and occasionally have to eat/sleep. Fear not, we are still working hard on it and are inching closer to submission every day. Here, be distracted by this screenshot of one of the early boss monsters.
"The needs of the many, outweight the needs of the few..." Really, I appreciate the work you guys are putting into this. I'd rather wait for quality... my original comment was meant tongue-in-cheek. Obnoxious banter aside, instabuy here. Whoa... cool screenshot.
