My four year old is currently up to 2200. Pretty sure that was on expert. So the real question isnt whether you beat that on your first game, its how long it took you to surpass what a 4 year old can do. The game is easy, but the first couple of games you do need to get used to the virtual dpad if its your first dual stick shooter, and also get used to the way they can hide in the bushes. So I dont think the first game or two really says anything.
