I'm not saying Vay is an amazing game, but it's the best rpg in the appstore, at least in my opinion. Why? 1. Turn based battles 2. Simple
Haha, that's probably true. I guess the question, if taken literally, could include a terrible game, as long as it's the best on the iPod. I thought it was alright at first, but the thing that bothered me was that it was not balanced at all. I haven't played it in well over a year, but as I recall, spells did practically the same damage as melee combat, meaning that casting them was a waste of mana when you could use it for heals. And the enemies were all the same.
It's quite obvious that many of you are of the younger generation (apologies if this is not true) but how could you otherwise have missed something like iNethack? You can not get a more satisfying and real RPG (truly meaning Role Playing Game). Sure it has no flashy graphics, sure it is over twenty years in the making but it easily beats the crap out of anything else in it's depth of play and strategy. I admit that it completely lacks a solid storyline but that's where imagination comes in handy. I think iNethack is by far the best RPG on the iDevices.. The Quest being a very far second. Oh, and it is free. Cheers! bManic
+1 on this... One of the few games that will take every bit of your wit and brain to beat (if you ever do). You'll probabally spend years playing this game before you ascend your first character, but you'll have a blast every step of the way. Nethack is an addiction, but an aquired taste for sure.
