I'm also partial to other SNK fighting game character theme music, such as: Orochi Chris, "Mad Fantasy": Pretty much all SNK game fighting music kicks ass.
Just remembered something. One of my favorite songs in any game, as the singer/writer is none other than David Bowie. And to boot, it's actually one of my favorite games of all time too!: David Bowie (as Boz), "Survive", from the game Omikron: The Nomad Soul:
While an awesome song, I'd say that Riot and Animal I Have Become are by far the best songs in the game. The other 3 from the SDvR games I like alot are Falling Apart, Firefly, and Alone.
Well, they're good, but I wouldn't go as far as to say the best band ever... I'm also a fan of Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace, along with listening to Zebrahead here and there. But Rise Against is definetly a good band, but not the best. To each his own I guess.
You know your replied to your own thread right? Lol weirdo. Mario song is ok but not the greatest at all.
Yeah, you're right. Well then, for video game music....Damn, I don't want to be all lame and cliche and say some FF song (Nobuo Uematsu is a god among video game composers)... I don't know, I really liked that one song from Resident Evil 4, the Ada side story. Where she has to fight through the tunnel. Let me see if I can find a youtube clip of it. Eh, I don't want to sort through all those clips. You'll just have to take my word for it. But I guess I wouldn't call it "best ever", it's at least the best in RE4. I know, that Utada Hikaru song from Kingdom Hearts 1! Although I think that too isn't technically video game exclusive. I give up.
It's hardly lame and cliched. Uematsu is one of the greatest game composers ever, there's no question about it. Most if not all Chinese, Japanese, and Korean console/PC RPGs have at least one epic soundtrack, there are way too many to list. I've got a whole playlist of all epic video game soundtracks.
