not sure, seems odd that there is nothing to "stop it" to be honest. 6 min would be really tough otherwise. my guess it's been overlooked.

Yeah it was overlooked. Didn't realize you could drop down from the level as I was just blindly trying to follow the track when testing the user level

Oh well. Guess you can't remove it anymore since it will impact leaderboards? Can't even change the timing goals now, right? Perhaps you want to move it to an easier bracket of levels in the next update for what it's worth? I suppose that shouldnt impact leaderboards... unless the cumulative score is a function of which category of level it is? Happens I suppose. :)

Am sure it was meant to be really tough :)

Is there some trick to certain parts of Domotown I'm missing? With a very good run I can get 37 seconds; current record is 36.991s. I can't really see where to make up the extra 3 seconds to get the third star. Any tips?

I have managed to finish the level under 60 minutes and it is quite interesting that just powering through the level without obstacles takes almost 2 minutes.

There is about a 0.1% i'll be able to beat the 6 minutes challenge...

That's a great level - one of my favorites. My best time is 00:35:059, which is close to the 00:34.250 needed for three stars, although it takes me a considerable number of attempts to get anywhere near that time.

    edit:

Regarding extreme level #4 "Motherland" - I think under 6 minutes will be possible with more luck and practice over time, since last night I managed to reduce time to 9:23.343 without use of any exploits or design flaws

    Last Edit:

My Youtube video of a clean 07:56.043 playthrough of Motherland on expert/baron mode (ipod Touch). This will probably be my last Bike Baron video unless I manage to do it in less than 6 minutes.

I agree, it is a very nice level - but to beat 34.250s would be an extremely impressive feat. I just got 35.261s, still 1s off of the mark, and I don't know if it will be possible to clean up my run much more than that.

Anybody else been able to beat 34.250s on this level?

A bit off topic, but who has used the front wheel drive as an extra obstacle/challenge in the level editor? I have, and it's pretty useful for harder and more careful movements around objects previously impossible.

EDIT: Also, could someone please confirm, has the length of the bike increased slightly? because some areas that are the same size as the bike no longer fit...

Congrats, you're crazy! What's your time on domotown? Have you gotten all stars with Baron from the latest update?

THe front wheel drive is actually perceptible? I haven't updated yet (Don't plan to update till I get the JB4 3rd star), so does it really make any difference? And what does that have to do with Level editor? And I hope the bike has not grown longer. How in the world is it going to fit in the shafts of JB4 if its longer!!

I THINK it is slightly longer, but not sure. The front wheel drive only works if you are on a level surface and starting off completely still, so in King's Castle, the second last curve at the end, where you would previously HAVE to get the back wheel on otherwise you would slide off, the front wheel can drive slowly up it if you miss.

With the editor, you can make it so that only the front wheel just touches an object and expect that the player can get above it, whereas previously all they could do was hang on for ages.

@tetru2, wow, congrats. That's totally crazy though. Good job!

As far as I know the bike should still be the same size at least physically, I'm not sure if Timo made changes to the look of the tires to smoother, that might have affected the looks a bit but the bike itself still plays the same as visual and physical forms are not connected :)

Congrats. You didn't use this shortcut, did you? Completing the run from this point with a time of well under 2 minutes would put me right back in the top 10 at this moment, but posting such a Youtube video would be very bad for my Gamecenter rep.
