No I wasn't kidding. Sure this game will be awesome too(although I won't go so far as to kiss the devs butt and say it will be much better than shadowgun) but honestly it isn't pushing the limits of iOS gaming. Now I know that that is obviously not the devs intent, and that is perfectly fine. I'm just trying to point out that releasing the game in the same week as Shadowgun will create more competition. But you can also look at it another way and say that the two games will attract totally different crowds so competition will be minimal. Either way my point is that Shadowgun is pushing the limits of iOS gaming (which is directed more at hardcore gamers), both games will be awesome, and we will all be happy when they both release. Ok? Sorry to disrupt the peaceful TA Bike Baron Thread.
I could just as easily accuse you of kissing the Shadowgun dev's butt. Seriously though, this game could be GOTY imo. No other racing/driving title really compares. Looks as good as excitebike, the original. I cannot wait for this, would pay $5. Shadowgun's been done before. It's a shooter. Got some interesting graphics. Next.
Haha, no you couldn't. And you obviously haven't done your research about Shadowgun if you think that's all it is. I haven't played it yet, but I have high expectations for it. Sure Bike Baron looks like a great new trials game. But I wouldn't say it's far better than others of its kind. IMO there are plenty of awesome racing games out there on the App Store that could be just as good or better than this. In terms of trials games, Xtreme Wheels was pretty good and this game looks to be similar to that.
Haha, sorry. I highly doubt this game will be GOTY. And what's wrong with another shooter on iOS? I could also easily say this is another Trials game for iOS. Been there, done that.
I just hate when people start kissing up to devs. And I also didn't agree with the comments saying this game will be way better than Shadowgun. They aren't even in the same genre. All I said was that releasing this the same week as Shadowgun would create some competition and Shadowgun would probably get GOTW (in my opinion)
Music is in the game and the final character sounds are going in next. I have to say Ari Pulkkinen did a fantastic job with the music and Baron's voice acting! The game is pretty packed with humour & personality - just look at the menus In the screenshot you can also see the Game Center leaderboards. One of them shows the worldwide ranks and the other one shows how you rank among your GC friends. As for the release date, we've decided on a submission date and now we'll just keep polishing it until it's time to submit.
PS. Domovoi is a visiting guest star from Minigore Zombies - He's also the proud owner of Domobar & Tavern. And of course Baron is getting his revenge in Minigore Zombies by having the chance to shoot the living daylight out of Mr DÂ…
The menu looks great. I have two questions though. 1)How many achievements will there be in the game? Is it 3 like the screenshot suggests or are there more? 2)Will the awesome kitty also make an appearance in Minigore Zombies ?
There will be only 3 achievements for the start as we have something special planned for the update I don't know about kitty in Minigore, that's private project of Mountainsheep, and I'm part of Qwiboo. Try minigore forum for that one I can't wait for you to try the game either! We agreed on release date, but I can't give you any details yet. The game is going to testing phase next Friday, and if all goes well (meaning no huge bugs will be discovered) we will have submission week later. The game is pretty much finished, but we are still ironing out of small problems and trying to polish the game as much as we can.
