The 1st one was excellent. The 2nd one was disappointing. This one looks ace. It´s made by the same guys who made the original Bioshock, and the setting looks fantastic. Read more about it
Dude, I swear I was going to make a thread about this (after just reading the IGN article)... I've loved both Bioshock games and this one sounds like a seriously amazing and different. stand alone title.
Bioshock has always seemed overrated to me, I can't imagine this one changing my mind. It'll probably be good fan service for people who rave about the story but other than that I'm guessing it'll be more of the same.
I loved the first one. I never tried the second one as it just looked like another more-of-the-same sequel with little new to offer. This one looks pretty damn sweet though. Any release date?
This one looks closer to the first to me. The second one kinda flipped the whole vibe by making you play as a Big Daddy, now it's back to normal but with clouds where the fish used to be.
Yeah, that was the other thing that didn't appeal to me; I didn't really want to play a Big Daddy. If they were going to do a samey sequel I'd rather they have tackled it from another human point of view, like the original Half Life did with Blue Shift and Opposing Force. This one though looks like it's back on track in another environment as a kind of prequel. I'm totally down with that.
Agreed, steampunk is way overdone. I'm sure there are about 3 more steampunk-themed games in development right now and absolutely nothing with a good old-fashioned art deco style.
Is this for 360 too? While Bioshock is my favorite video game series EVER, I still feel a bit reserved about this one. For some reason, being in the air doesn't have the same feeling as being trapped 2,000 leagues under the sea. Nevertheless, Bioshock is, as I mentioned before, my favorite video game series so this is a midnight release purchase for me.
Good. However, the more I think/watch the trailer... the more I dislike it. Gone is Rapture, the best place ever... Gone is the fear of never being found or heard, since the city is abandoned and no one on the surface knows about it (people apparently know about the "US City of Columbia" [a far crappier name than "Rapture"])... I... I just don't know about this one. Unless it's gameplay differs from the first two Bioshocks... I dunno...
