Yeah, Touchgen and Slide To Play said it'd be out this week (as in last monday-last friday), but otherwise I'd say definitely this week.
Im really looking foward ot this game. Im pretty new to the iPod gaming scene and more used to having reelase dates for games...do all games just kind of appear on the market with no set release date?
Generally, games go live on the App Store right when Apple approves them. Since there's no certainty as to how long a game may stay in the review queue, no precise dates can be announced. But devs can set the release date when they submit the app to be reviewed so once it's approved, the game remains off the store until the date the devs chose. Mirror's Edge was announced last fall (2009) and was supposed to be released in the spring but was delayed until September for obscure reasons, that's why the name pops up when people bring up the date subject.
My friend told us that the review process will be cone within 2 weeks. This is kind of awesome game so I believe that Apple also wants it out as much as we're!
