The only reason I plunked down 99 cents for this on day one was because of a supposed 'early adopter reward' before the price went up. But this game has been out for 3 months and I feel I've gotten my $.99 out of it. Now, Warp Dash...which was out for a whopping week for $.99 and then went free with lots of IAPs...that's a completely different story. The early adopters definitely were screwed. It's just that some companies will make all of their games free soon after release to try to rocket them up the charts, and I now know that Foursaken is one of them. So I'll wait for their games to go free. The game is good, and well worth more than 99 cents, but it annoys me when companies advertise a reduced launch price and then reduce the price further within a month or two. EDIT: Also, I download so many games that I've barely touched this game since it launched. This part is my fault awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #8 awp69, Sep 23, 2011 You're right. Was at work and wasn't able to pull it up on App Shopper. But it came out August 2nd. Still, I've had plenty of games that were out just a week or two and either went free or dropped in price that really had me upset and bitter. So I guess I just didn't feel as short changed by this one. But that's just IMO. backtothis im in ur base killin ur d00dz Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 13, 2009 13,249 1 0 college student (junior) Houston/Austin, TX https://twitter.com/back2this #9 backtothis, Sep 23, 2011 Yeah, it was a dollar to begin with anyways when I got it. After a month, it doesn't really feel like anything. Maybe if I had paid $2.99 or more, I'd care a bit. It's the AppStore. Azuvidexus Well-Known Member Dec 19, 2010 307 0 0 What? http://twitter.com/azuvidexus #10 Azuvidexus, Sep 23, 2011 I really got dissapointed that Bug Heroes went free (with IAP purchases) after I purchased it, so it will pretty much never happen again, considering that this one went free (seems for limited time, compare to Bug Heroes that went free permanently). So, downloading Bug Heroes Quest while it's free. Joshnsuch Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2009 840 0 0 Louisville #11 Joshnsuch, Sep 23, 2011 Bug Heroes took a good bit of time before it went free.. It was worth the 3 bucks I paid when I got it and every bit of the DLC I paid for and then some. I want to say Foursaken Media said this game would never go free because some people had concerns with it like they did with Bug Heroes going free. On Jan 6 I bought Bug Heroes for $2 the day it came out. On April 13 BH goes freemium with additional content at IAP. On Aug 13 a deluxe version is release with all content at $5. I'm not upset with adding the IAP, that's fine, but why didn't they convert the original game to the deluxe, rewarding their first fans, and release the freemium as a second game, instead of what they did, which was screw those who bought it first. Really to be fair there should be three versions, original, deluxe, and freemium. But they took the path of greed instead of thinking of their fans. medianotzu Well-Known Member Nov 21, 2009 3,803 9 36 #16 medianotzu, Sep 23, 2011 I didn't even realize until just now that there was a "premium" version of BH. I'm kind of sad now that I bought all the IAPs (not to mention the game at its original price.) Sad, but not really angry. I do love the game so it's hard for me to get too worked up. I can understand your feelings though because that is rather dicey, honestly. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #17 awp69, Sep 23, 2011 Last edited: Sep 24, 2011 deleted - support these wonderful devs who don't think it's okay to express an opinion on they way they handle their biggest fans C.Hannum Well-Known Member Feb 13, 2011 2,512 0 36 New York State #18 C.Hannum, Sep 23, 2011 Last edited: Sep 24, 2011 No reason to leave the original post. I personally feel they're shooting themselves in the foot by price-cutting their titles to death. It's an extreme symptom of contemporary appstore business tactics, taken to an unhealthy extreme. And if you bought the game at full or part price, was it a good game? If so, then why are you bitching? I am glad for sales when they come out - I don't gripe about the company that put the game out after I've been playing it for a while. It's not like they owe you anything, except for a game you paid for, regardless of the price. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
