Studio: Light Beats LLC Open Beta Sign Up: http://campaigntrailgame.com - beta starts July 14-21 Release Date: September 2020 When we started work on Campaign Trail back in February, we had one goal in mind: Create a presidential election game for everybody. In order to do this, we decided not to include any mention of the present political climate or polarizing political views, only strategy. Once you get on the campaign trail for the first time, you're going to need to start boosting your support. In the campaign menu, you can use campaign points to increase your abilities or buy rallies/advertisements to help your support spread. If you need more money or support quickly, you can also take a darker path and make use of the corruption screen. Once you accumulate enough support in your home state, you'll be able to use the spending menu to help your campaign move to new states. When you get your first supporters in a state, it turns green. When you reach 50% support in a state, it turns blue and you claim its electoral votes. The goal of the game is to beat the clock and reach 270 electoral votes before time runs out. Each state has its own characteristics (rural percentage, urban percentage, gdp), leading to unique play-throughs based upon which state your campaign starts in. The fun doesn't end there! The progression system in Campaign Trail revolves around various challenges that you complete during your play-throughs. A few examples of these challenges are: 'Win without using corruption' and 'Win with Indiana as your home state'. If you complete enough challenges, you'll unlock new candidate archetypes. These archetypes have their own unique abilities, requiring a different strategy to reach the oval office. Thanks so much for reading!
