Sorry but much like how the iPad doesn't have Flash, a regular football doesn't have the patented Nerf spiral technology with whistler.
Well like how the iPad supports HTML5, my football has actual stitches and strings, unlike your patented queer ball
Thank you for actually taking this seriously. I have an iPod Touch now, so it won't be me paying more money for something I already have (i.e. iPhone), because I'm going to buy the 3G version. However, is there any info on the Google Tablet (?), because IMO, Google > Apple in terms of internet products (not games or appstore), but that's just me.
If you buy the iPad, I would suggest the 3g and a minimum 32gb because 16gb will get used up quickly. In terms of Google tablet, that actually may be something to watch. In many ways, I think that tablet may ultimately be the better product at release time. I saw a prototype a few months ago based on the Chrome OS, and it seemed pretty slick even though it was just a demo. If you can wait, I would hold off until summer when the Google tablet (knock on wood) is due out. The reality is that the iPad could have a price drop by then as well because of more competing products. My guess is that the price model for iPad apps may finally stabilize by then too. So, the bottom line is that waiting may make the most sense.
Yeah, if I was 100% sold on the iPad I'd run out and buy it, but I really like Google a lot more than I like Apple... hopefully their product falls under my price range and they can work out a cheap 3G deal like Apple did (probably not tho).
I really think that you SHOULD buy an iPad if you're planning to take advantage of every single aspect of the device. Ehh, that sounds a bit heavy but here's what I mean: reading books and magazines, surfing the web, playing HD games, taking advantage of the landscape photo slideshow, and using it as a Word processor and such (iWork suite). If you aren't planning on doing even one of the above, it isn't worth getting, especially if you don't plan on reading on that device. I think that it's not a glorified iPod Touch, but more of a glorified eBook reader. That's a feature that seems to be a selling point for me, personally, and that's who Apple is targeting among others. The iPhone entered the fray revolutionizing the cellphone industry. iPod revolutionized the music and portable music player industry. And the iPad, well, I think it revolutionizes the eBook reading industry, as there's nothing else like it and it can do so much more than reading books. Along with that, there is of course the Netflix streaming app and the ABC player that's pretty neat along with some other things, but yeah that's what my thoughts are on the issue. It also does do some pretty useful things a laptop can't do: act as a slideshow picture frame, play quality board games, and the ability to multitouch. As someone who has seen the iPad hands-on in the Apple store, the iWork suite (especially the word processor), is a MUCH different experience than using a laptop. But still, I wouldn't say it's a missing link. It is a glorified iPod Touch, but the key word there is glorified. And Apple definitely glorified that iPod Touch quite a lot.
The pricing for the Google tablet will be similar to the iPad starting at $499 and running to $829. Based on what I heard, Google may be working with Verizon on a similar 3G plan which would be ideal considering how bad AT&T is.
However, I'm seriously going to have to think about the Gaming aspect of it if the iPad and the GPad are somewhat similar, and iPad would win that competition hands down...
If games are your focus, then the iPad beats the GPad based on quantity. But, I would seriously think about why you want the iPad or any tablet device. While games are plentiful for better or for worse, the iPad really is designed for other things such as ebooks, video and music with gaming secondary. I would almost say that the iPad is geared more towards those other activities than gaming.
Well I'm saying if I'm stuck between the Gpad and the iPad, I'll probably pick the iPad for gaming if the Gpad doesn't offer anything else.
All things being equal, that makes sense. I'd seriously wait for a little while to see how things pan out.
yeah, plus the 4.0 OS may be like $10, why buy an ipad to have to buy a software update. wait a little, TOFTT
I don't own an iPad. But in beat buy for 20 minutes after waiting for 15, I got to try one. It's extremely smooth and sleek. I read the times online. It was great. You want an iPad. I'm not even an Apple fanboy but I loved it.
As far as getting an iPad, I would recommend getting one but it really all depends on what you are looking for. I purchased mine earlier today and I love it but then again it suits me and it may not suit you. I will tell you this the games really blew me away and as far as the browser goes, I dont think browsing will be the same for me after having used the iPad. There are several reviews on the internet that may help you the same way they helped me. Some review the device in its entirety, where some review it solely as a gaming device. Hope this helps you out.
