I honestly can't believe how many times I've had to report the same developer's games for shilling. This is his latest thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=2813525 I'd estimate that's about the 4th or 5th thread for that exact same game that I've seen, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were more. Here's another one, with several posts by now-banned accounts: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=178165 And this is another game of his, surprise surprise, more accounts banned for shilling: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=173972 These are just some of the threads that still exist, I think I've made over a dozen reports on this guy in total and a few of the threads have been removed, but still he persists. If the admin are able to block a game from using the appinfo tag, I'd say these are perfect contenders for the part. It might not stop the developer from posting, but at least it wouldn't be so annoyingly easy! P.S. I believe this is the developer's "actual" account here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/member.php?u=125372
I take it he's either making fake accounts or getting people he knows to make fake accounts just to make the games seem great -_- Sadly there isn't a way to stop that
Ever heard of an IP ban...? Of course it's pretty easy to change your IP, but not many people know that you can or how to.
I'm getting bored of reporting them, to be honest. They just annoy me now. The reason I made this topic was to highlight the bigger problem of developers utilising fake accounts as much as spam bots. If the trend grows it could cause huge problems for mods, having to trawl every game thread and matching up the repeat posts and shills, which is why I wondered if there was at least a way to block them from using the appinfo tag as it would make them a little easier to pick out. Plus, I know I'm here a lot, but other people must be noticing this, right? Maybe a few more TA members need to do a better job at staying vigilant and reporting this stuff.
