Yeah sometimes it can be a real challenge picking apps up and not knowing if ur going to like them. But it was worth a try. Lol
You buy games base on personal preference. It's sad to see people saying these games are not even worth 0.99 when the devs obviously had put in a lot of work. Not that easy you know, making games.
CJS is pretty flawed in my opinion.. Only because it has a real life time limit and you have to play a certain amount of time every week, and if you miss a few weeks you basically have to throw all your progress away and start over. So it's a weird commitment to have to make to a phone game in my opinion and really ruins it... If they took that out I'd recommend it.
Read this!!!! EDIT : Thts just one instance where Paul has askd the players on what they really want!
CJS is pretty fun, for a while. I did enjoy roaming round the streets in a tank. Star Defense I got yesterday, haven't played much yet. I think you should get GoldKeeper and Minigore though.
Star Defense is worth it but I'm not too sure about CJS. The time factor really turned me off and I stopped playing slightly before 2 weeks because I got a bit fed up with the 'payment for every week' thing. I'm hoping Gang$tar is going to be good though.
At the risk of getting set upon by all the rabid SD fans - I thought Star Defense sounded good, with the 3D approach and all, but for me, it turned out to be a shallow gimmick, which hampered the gameplay, rather than improve it or add extra depth. If that's the unique selling point of the game in this rather crowed genre, then it's a poor one. Picked it up at sale price and played it for about 30 minutes, so I guess I got my moneys worth...
Both are not good. You can try CJS lite, see if you like it. As for Star Defense, it's all hype and marketing, the gameplay is pretty mediocre and most people aren't too happy except review websites. I tried it on my friend's iPhone and much prefer Fieldrunners, The Creeps!, Crystal Defender or even 7 Cities.
I would really like CJS if I could drive, but in the end the driving cotnrols cause too much frustration to make the game enjoyable. $3 flushed on that one. I really like TDs, and sure some of them have more depth than SD, but for $1 I have been entertained with the game play especially with the addition of achievements...although I could not create a Plus+ ID. The one thing I really did not like seeing was the Luxor banner ad in there...that was definitely uncool. Why not just have a button that says "our other games" and lets you know you'll be navigating out of the game to a web page/app store listing of the devs other games. Ads do not belong in a game I paid for .
Don't be worry about the time thing on CJS. If you play an hour a week, you'll have plenty of money, but the game is so good you'll definitely play more then that.
Gold Keeper Minigore Car Jack Streets Star Defense Racer Flick Fishing There you have it. 6 $0.99 games that are worth your time and money.
Ended up getting: Moto X Mayhem Baseball Sluggers Racer Minigore Gold Keeper Doodle Jump CJS I had an extra dollar left somehow and figured Doodle Jump would be more fun than fishing
I agree, just too many TD's at the time CJS is something very different compared to my other apps atm Will def. pick up Star Defense next time I get some itunes cash
Star defense is not as great as the other TD's idk why it got so much praise i only payed 1$ and i regret buying it i shouldve bout the flick fishing extra content instead CJS imo was extremely hyped. i only bought it because of the hype but the crappy controls and the fact that u had to pay someone back drove me away from it therefore it has been permanently deleted from my ipod Payback is better than CJS btw 6$ isnt enought for 6 games when you add tax
