I cannot believe there is still a problem. I just bought a music video as a test and there was no problem but I cannot buy gift certificates. Argh!! We are on the phone with Apple right now trying to get this straightened out. As a last resort, we will have to get actual gift cards and mail those out. What a pain, Apple!
Turns out that it is just our account. Unfortunately we do not have another account that we can use at the moment. I will try to find someone else to buy these through but it is tough using OUR payment method through someone else's account. Here is my chat with Apple support (they were not very helpful this time around either): Regardless, I am working on this and we'll get the gift certificates (or gift cards) out asap...
Why don't you just buy giftcards, scratch off the back code, and then PM the winners the code? That is much easier than mailing each giftcards.
There are several reasons, actually, but the gift cards are still an option. 1. We didn't finish taking care of this yet because Atlanta flooded and we spent all day fighting flood waters and trying to salvage a business 2. It would require a trip to the Apple store, which takes time --something I'm short on at the moment If we absolutely cannot get the gift certificates (which can be emailed), then we will get the gift cards. I'm just trying to avoid snail mail, postage, and a trip across town. However, I will if it comes to it. -Brandon
Like I said before: I think you should just go to te Apple store, grab 5 cards, go home, scratch off the backings yourself, then give us the codes. That way you won't have to mail it to us.
once again, GREAT IDEA! But, if like 2 hours to go to the nearest apple store... you're screwed then. If you needed to mail them. Go to apple's online store and order them. BUT, it would cost money for shipping though.
