Sigh, wish I could use my 64 gb new ipad more for videos and movies, all of my space is for games, but even Cytus can't make it on due to file size. I really need that 128 gb ipad.
I'm just happy to be back to 32 gigs like my ipod touch was...that's when most games were under 20 mbs. I still have plenty of room, though I've got at least 8 gigs taken up by music apps and what goes with them (dl'ed patches, effects, loops, etc.). i don't know if my image upload worked, but that's just folder 1 of 3.
Forgive the o-t, but if I may, how are you liking comics on the iPad? I keep threatening to make the switch... Lord knows it would make moving easier... DBC
When did you get a Mini? What do you think of it? I friggin love mine (except fpr the fact that Apple might release a beefier version this spring)...perfect size and I appreciate having virtually no bezel. And it's so much lighter too, especially when you're a smoker like me and spend a good amount of time holding it up with one hand.
I deleted most of my big apps. If its over a gig then I need to actually be playing it. I've been cleaning house on other apps too. If I don't use it (non games) then I probably don't need it. Fir games, if I've been meaning to try it for more than a month then I might as well delete it and redownload later. Heck that's also where locking licenses comes in too. If I'm not intending to play it now then it's probably good to lock in the license now and not even bother with the full download. Today I showed my bro Cytus and a few other music games to get for his iPad.
Loving the mini more than the ipad3. I gave the ipad3 to my father-in-law coz i dont see the reason to get back to it except for some sharper graphics. ipad3 performs significantly SLOWER and i know because games load longer, some hi-def movies stutter, and it felt more than twice heavier than the mini. I got the mini first week of Feb and i fell in love with it since day one... My wife loved the smaller size too (i was supposed to give her the ipad3), so a week later we got her a mini too and now she has her books there. She said she liked it more than the ipad3 because reading is so much easier with the lighter weight, and the natural "book" size. My only regret is now she's addicted to Pixel People It's ultra light (for an apple device) and it is large enough to still be great and comfortable on games like Cytus, Tone Sphere or Demons Score where you may have to use both hands in a typing position.
Yeah, I wish my new ipad was lighter, but I sure am getting some buff biceps. It's hard to lift for long periods. That's why I look forward to the ipad 5. Actually, I would like to see a lightweight 14 inch ipad maxi one day.
For comics, it's actually much better on the bigger ipad, but then reading volumes of comics holding its weight is a workout. If you are sitting and have a table, the bigger ipad wins in comic reading. But when im lying on the couch, or whatever unorthodox position, the mini takes the crown. Problem is, sometimes some text are too small to read for some (not to me though, but the text is a bit smaller).
I've considered the mini but my only concern is with comics being able to see the full page and have it legible. How is it? Also how is it for music games like Cytus? On iPhone its a breeze reaching all the spots. Just wondering if it makes games like this harder. Tone Sphere is portrait mode so probably fine?
Just wait for the ipad mini 2 with probable retina screen and a6x processor, then you will get the best of both worlds. That will be one sexy ipad for sure. Plus hdmi tv will be better for you cause of the ipad retina graphics which will make a drastic difference on the tv screen since I know you like hdmi games.
