The loot Hey guys! During the following days, we would like to share some more information about our game and new features that are waiting for you. We're often asked if DE2 is a sequel to the original Dead Effect. Yes, it is. The story starts where the first game has ended, but the game has a much larger scope now. Today we'll tell you something about the loot in the game. There are several categories of items with different rarities and finding them is extremely important part of the game. You can encounter hundreds of unique items during the game: 1.) Dozens of different weapons that can be upgraded in many ways (pistols, assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, various melee weapons, bows, crossbows, explosive weapons and also several experimental weapons using fusion and other advanced technologies). 2.) Armor parts - full set of armor contains 5 pieces and it's essential for survival as armor can increase not just your hit points, but it can also improve your energy reserves and your stamina. Some of the rare armor sets have special abilities and effects. 3.) Various implants that can be installed in one of seven parts of your body and provide you with specific boosts, for example increased accuracy or melee strength. There are many possible combinations and it depends just on your choice if you want to have a super strong melee fighter, deadly sniper, quick runner or a balanced character. 4.) Bonus items that you can carry in your inventory during the missions and use them to heal yourself or get some time-limited effect like loot or experience bonus. 5.) Different upgrade modules for armor, implants or weapons. Upgrade module called codex installed in a compatible item can drastically improve the stats or provide some very special effect. 6.) The last type of the items that you can find are quest items tied to the story line. There are five rarity levels in the game. - Common item (white) - Regular item (green) - Treasured item (blue) - Legendary item (gold) - Mythical item (purple) We hope you'll like the new features in the game as much as we do. Why isn't the name Goodfly entertainment? Geeze. EDIT: Just heard about that Co-Op. This is Insta-get.
The enemies Today, let's talk about the enemies in Dead Effect 2. We've made some changes and there's a lot of new additions. 1.) First type of enemies are the omnipresent zombies. We've added several new types of regular walkers, as well as minibosses with unique behaviors and special attacks. However, the most interesting new feature is the "promotion system" - that means that the zombies can get faster, more aggressive, and deliver deadlier attacks. If you hear a scream - get ready. You might be in trouble now. 2.) Another type are human enemies - Delta Force and Spec Ops soldiers. Your former colleagues are elite soldiers, well-equipped and trained, and they'll show you no mercy. Their primary weapons are assault rifles or shotguns, but they'll soon start upgrading to various experimental and heavy weapons. They're not easy to fight and it is always better to keep your distance. But don't try to hide - they love throwing grenades. 3.) Third type are the cannibals - a sad, but dangerous result of another experiment performed by Professor Wagner. They are extremely fast and agile, they love to jump and hang on different places. Watch your back - they will try to ambush you from behind and tear you apart with their lethal claws. Don't even think about cannibal hunting unless you have good armor and an excellent weapon, preferably a shotgun! 4.) Another enemy type are the combat security drones. There are several unique types that guard some of the levels, fly around with heavy weapons ready and look for targets to terminate with maximum damage. 5.) Last but not least, and probably the most important, are the cyborgs. They are a very important part of the story and bring brand new experience and effects to the game. Most cyborgs are unique bosses and they attack in several phases and styles. Each boss will wait for you in a special environment - arena, where the boss is the boss and the player is only more fresh meat. You can also look forward to epic fights with cyber ninjas, mechanical dogs and many others. So, what do you think? Torturer the Prime is waiting for you!
The game looks awesome. Will it have cross platform save game support like Real Racing 3? I ask as I'll be playing on iOS and Android. So you can play on iOS and save your progress into the cloud, then download the save onto your Android device and carry on playing.
So, since it's free to play, does anyone know if there will be timers and/or stamina bars? I guess due to the nature of f2p and gear divided by rarity, this will have a gambling machine like in NFS or the recently released Afterpulse?
Based on previous conversations with the devs on this thread, there wont be timers. It will be similar to how the first Dead Effect is. IAP will be for the impatient, with some non-consumable purchases that will make the game feel premium. As for the RNG part, we dont know yet. What we do know, is that enemies will drop random loot. How random, we dont know yet.
Ah cool thanks. I'm still a little bit nervous on that part... I'm also curious if there will be any endgame or if missions are able to be replayed indefinitely to farm for loot. Raids...we need RAIDS! Like, Zombie filled Raids with super hard Bosses which can be played co-op for super mega epic loot! Aw man, how cool would that be...
