Devs: I'd like your feedback.

Discussion in 'Off-Topic Lounge' started by BrianBSHS, Aug 10, 2010.

  1. I'm trying to make my Beta Test page as useful and helpful as possible and I would like to know what devs like to see when they are looking for potential testers. The google docs link is in my signature, please respond, PM, or email me what you, as a developer, would like to see added in my page.

Currently, tested apps that are in the appstore have links to their purchase page and developers have links to their homepage websites. What else can/should I add, information wise.

I'm not a dev, but I think you should definitely add which version(s) of the app you have tested. It would give people a better idea of how long/dedicated you were to the project.

  3. Is there a way I can find that from past games? It's something I'll most likely do in the future, thanks for the feedback.

I can't think of any way other than by working backwards from dates you can remember. AppShopper lists the dates for previous versions.

well i don't really add a ver to my beta testing profile since i usually test since the beginning, you could try adding some pics of your name in the credits(not all games place you in the creds though)

note i didn't give gamevil my beta testing link but rather a list of games I tested(was still fixing up the link :p)

Organize the apps by Genre, organized is professional.

But genre is too subjective and personal to be recognized in any professional light.
