This thread is misleading. Gameloft is still promising the online multiplayer update, and I am sure that they will stick with their promise. Can someone please change the title of the thread?

i asked gameloft on twitter and they replied: @RealRacingFan The free online multiplayer update is still in development. It will be live before the end of the year. Just search up @RealRacingFan on twitter. There. That's proof.
