The description of using your mind AND reaction made my day with this one. First map free with an unlock of the last three maps for two bucks, 72 level in total with 31 achievements. Installed 128 MB. Level 11+18 were in a pretty intense digging speedrunner style, while the rest was zen-like mode. If you like this genre, i'd say super highly recommended for a free check out...I gladly supported the Devs. Edit: a bug in world 2 hindered me to progress, but today there was an update already. Big thanks for the quick fix, if the Devs are reading this. Meanwhile, i had perfect runs in all levels of world 1+2 (except 3 of 4 speedruns, they need lots of memorization and reflexes, going back later). I think, pro-puzzler could be underwhelmed here, but casual players will have tons of fun. It's really quite amazing getting featured and having people talk about/review our game. Thanks for the kind words Qwertz. I think you described what we were going for pretty well. It's a casual puzzle game that keeps getting harder and harder. I'd be curious as to how you enjoy some of the later levels. We worked really hard to find a good balance between planning and executing. We also want everyone e to know that we are open to feedback, and if any new bugs come up, you can be sure we'll be putting out quick fixes! NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #6 NOEN, Mar 8, 2015 Just started playing this game today. It's actually a pretty good puzzler. Not a whole lot I can add to what Quertz said, but yea, it's worth the download. I think the first area is free and there are 3 more areas at .99 a piece or you can get all 3 for 1.99 if I'm not mistaken, so it's pretty much a premium game once you buy the 1-3 areas. It's the best way to do it IMO. Roleki Well-Known Member Aug 11, 2012 432 0 0 #7 Roleki, Mar 8, 2015 The "memorization and reflexes" part worries me - I hate tight time-based challenges... It still needs some of both, not lying, but to only beat a level is quite doable. I'd consider the memo part way bigger than the reflexes. I mean, it's free to try out, right ? I found no bug until i started the 3rd world, the ruins on stage 4, but a quick fix already ironed it out. Unfortunatelly way more came across in the next few levels, forcing you to leave the app and restart again. Since i started testing games again, i hope my enabled "send data to developers" will help to find them quickly. Even with all those bugs, i was able to reach level 16 in Ruins with a perfect score so far. A clear sign of "officially addicted". Maybe this cheers you Devs up a bit. I nominated your gem for game of the week (you can't vote yourselves). Only one vote, so it won't make the cut, but still... Edit: oops, first bug was in world 2 already, nevermind. Dan@DigiTen New Member Mar 5, 2015 4 0 0 #9 Dan@DigiTen, Mar 8, 2015 The game keeps getting harder Yea, we broke the gameplay up a bit based on the worlds - so world 1 was a bit more zen, and focused on teaching the logic of the game. Starting with World 2 we focus way more on platforming and timing, and the puzzles will get harder and harder. We`re really sorry about the bugs - but you can be sure that we`re on it 24/7 to get the game ironed out and running as smooth as possible. We fixed an issue that got triggered every time you collected more than 1 golden chest without closing the app in-between, which is why it must've happened more than once to you. We also fixed an issue with the Frog enemy in world 3 in the latest patch. So thanks so much for posting, and if you find anything else, please let us know! And to anyone reading, if you're enjoying the game, please drop us a 5 star rating. You can be sure that we put a LOT of hard work and love into this game, and we'll continue to do so moving forward - both with bug fixes and content updates (we've got some really cool things planned out, and we're definitely listening for suggestions!). Whatever i reported to you - all worked out with these fed frogs. But i still get some error messages here and there. Here some of my troubles... Ruins 18 Never finished because sooner or later i get the error !!! Ruins 17 Only a personel problem: i can't get the very last money-block under the fed frog with that stone in front, arghh Pyramid Observation and timing becomes huge, omg. Level 7 gets diabolic with those cogs. The time window is very small, no hesitating allowed. Level 8 (no star but finished!!!) Oh, already the speedrun Level 9 (2 stars) "Impossible" 2nd chest Besides going back to those few problematic ones, i only have five levels left. Obviously my most played game this week and where i clearly can see all the love and heartblood these two guys invested. Edit: finally got the sequence for the second chest (Pyramid 9). Tough work-out and only possible (for me) without the music on. Got to hear those cogs sounds clearly. Dan@DigiTen New Member Mar 5, 2015 4 0 0 #11 Dan@DigiTen, Mar 10, 2015 Hey Qwertz, We're SOO happy you're enjoying the game, and thank you for buying the packs and supporting us devs!! We've patched up most of these issues and once we get them all, we'll be submitting a fix. Heres the list Ruins The error that happens is because of a missing line of text that can show up on the death screen whenever a frog eats you. We'll have that fixed ASAP. Level 17 There really is an impossible gold...sorry! Its been moved now. Pyramid There's a bug on level 15, with a chain reaction of madness (frogs, bats, and mushrooms) that happens, which we're fixing too. We're also cleaning up some code to try and improve stability. Once again, thanks so much for keeping us posted. Hopefully we can get everything ironed out soon enough so that we can start cranking on the content updates. It really makes our day to know there are people out there who are genuinely enjoying the game! And again, if you or anyone reading have feedback, let us know! There's a very good chance we'll work the suggestions into the game as we move forward. Thanks! Reticents New Member Nov 17, 2014 2 0 0 #12 Reticents, Mar 10, 2015 Just bought world's 2-4. I mean, I wanted to love this game, I was really enjoying it until the moment the double tap option came into play (which is like 3rd stage I guess). It's just impossible for me to enjoy the game because the double tap doesn't work for me as intended. Sometimes it's recognized correctly but mostly is not. So I'm losing progress in the stage just because of unresponsive controls. I tried real fast double tap, slow one.. doesn't matter. There's always a moment it's not recognized and I loose stage because of that. I tried both options for controls. It's not my device, I tried on iPhone and 2 iPads.. so is it just me? I just can't enjoy the game even if I'd love to. Dan@DigiTen New Member Mar 5, 2015 4 0 0 #15 Dan@DigiTen, Mar 12, 2015 Hi Macplash, Thanks for posting. We'll be taking a look to see what we can do to improve the controls. The way they work in the game currently is very heavily based on the character's animations, so finding the right timing is extremely important. As an example, if one attempts to dash after they drop 1 tile, they must perform the dash only once the character has finished landing. If the input is started too early, the first tap could be disconsidered (if the character is still finishing his fall), and result in a single move. The reason we did this was because many people tend to spam the buttons to dig, and if we queued up actions the experience actually got worse. I'll be sure to take a look and see if there's a way to improve the dash, and perhaps add a little more feedback to comunicate the correct timing. Thanks for playing! macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #16 macplash, Mar 12, 2015 Thanks for clarifying. I'd understand the right timing being extremely important as a feature if this was an action platformer, but I approached it as a puzzle game. So I find it irritating to constantly loose the progress based solely on controls. When I make a mistake because I'm rushing too much or I'm not observing enough, it's ok and it's acceptable to fail and be forced to start over because of that. But because of wrong timing on double tap? It just doesn't feel right. Anyway, it's great to hear you're looking at it and are willing to improve the issue/feature. I'm going to wait for the fix. Thanks once again for the feedback. I appreciate it. gaymerX Well-Known Member Dec 30, 2014 280 0 16 #17 gaymerX, Mar 14, 2015 Really like the animation in the game. Really well done. Smash him BEFORE he can reach your needed bridge to get the last chest. Perfect score. As i said in last weeks GOTW: in many other weeks i would have voted for this gem. Edit: finally got 216/216 stars. Incredible fast work on your updates, thanks. My only little not perfected left-over is: Pyramid 8 (3 stars) Speedrun... Oh boy that 3rd last money piece (all to the right) My suggestion for the speedruns. These can be very frustating. If you don't finish, you get stuck.
