The game is very random but there are debates on if certain cercumstances better your chances for obtaining the wanted dragon such as lower lvl vs higher or having habitats first. It might work for some and not for others but I'm up for bettering my chance, or even helping someone else out. Congrats on your clover though
I just got my second 7 hour timer back to back with Flower (10) / Moss (7). Both in the regular cave. Glad that annoying combo is over!
Reading all those comments of succes with flower/moss ... guess it is time to put my uber-lucky flower back on ... Just hoping i haven't accidently sold it
Well just bred my lvl 7 flower and moss and got a 10 hr timer but bred my lvl15 flower and moss and got a seven hr timer so don't know if it was luck (or randomness) or if it was the having seven of both decorations but I got it. Going to speed up and try again and see what happens
Well about an hour ago put seven sham-rocks and clover cottages out and on the second and third breed in a row got two clovers with lvl 15 flower and moss Hope if someone else tries this it works for them too
Its all random!!! I tried same flower lvl15/moss lvl15 combo for 2 days with no result. This morning same dragons gave me 7hr wait time. I'll keep trying till I get the second clover.
Newbie I just started playing a couple days ago. I'm trying to breed a moss dragon and just got my third tree. I did earth first then plant. My husband then told me to try higher level earth and low level plant and that's how I got my 3rd tree. Suggestions please .
I still don't have my first Clover yet, getting ready for my 4th try. This is my first time for a Limited dragon since I just started playing but is there a reason to have more than one?
If you would to be able to breed one later down the road then you would want two. Sometimes DV actually sets new goals, and often they include breeding one of the recent dragons.
You can breed them for a babie. You will need food and coins to buy food so you breed your money making dragons and sale them. The moon.sun and Rainbow will get you the most. They also take 48 hours to breed. You can make money with the panlong too. snow, fog and willow are 8 hour and they bring 1'ooo,ooo so that's nice. Panlong is 36. I love this game but you can get very frustrated trying to get a limited dragon. I have used many gems trying to get to one dragon. That's the rush.But if the dragon is under a 100 gems sometimes I just bought it. I have two of all dragons so I can breed.God Luck. I used firefly and snow for rainbow,sun and moon. It can be different for every one. These people have been a lot of help. You can read though this forum for more ways to breed.Dragonvale friends are great. We love our dragons.
Thanks for the help. I have been reading the forum and other sites trying to get as much info as possible with each new situation. Once you have the first LIMITED dragon can you use it to breed a second one to increase your luck. For example.. can you breed a flower/clover to get the second clover? If possible I would think that the "errors" would be an 1 hour flower.
In theory this should work, but I often found that using the same combo that gave you the first "special" dragon is more likely to give you the second "special" dragon than using the special dragon.
I ADORE Dragonvale, but have never used a forum before, am not on Twitter or Facebook, and therefore have no 'friends'. Sob! But I do have a gem tree, and have bred 2 Moon, 2 Sun, 1 Rainbow and 1 Leap Year Dragon. I have 1 Clover, found, by accident, and until I read your post, didn't know there were sham-rocks or clover cottages. I gave up looking some time ago for new stuff to buy because there never seemed to be any! Why don't Backflip TELL us about new stuff? But I've no room for any! I'm DESPERATE for another island, to expand - can anyone tell me at what level I'll be offered another one? I'm at level 24, with ALL the islands allowed (4 plus epic breeding). Also, how do I give gems to people (and get them back)? AND PLEASE, PLEASE - recommendations for breeding a Panlong, and a Sandstorm? And I reckon the quickest way of raising money is to breed AIR dragons. They only take 2 hours to breed, and 2 to incubate, for £500K (ie 8 hours for £1M, or 4 hours for 2 breedings, as opposed to 16 hours total for the next quickest ones). And, in case it helps, I have bred nearly all of my 'special' dragons (Sun,Moon, Rainbow, Leap Year) using a Love Dragon. Thinking laterally, I used Love/Air for Leap Year ('Love is in the Air') - and it worked! Feefox9
Annoyed!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn clover dragon!!!!!!! I am SICK of trying for this thing now! I can't count how many failed attempts I have had now, ALL 12 and 14 hour waits. Used too many gems speeding up and could have bought the damn thing about 3 times over by now!!! Have given up and bought it My first failure And..............relax........ Glad I got that out of my system, thanks for listening!!!!!
I did the same seen it was not going to be an easy one after a lot of 12 and 14 hour fails bought them before I went though gems again like water as I did with the leap year. lol This game can make you mad. I am glad you got to vent .
