Do your kids obsess over naming them? My kids claim names and won't let the other sibling have the same one. haha. One Panlong is named Longshan for the temple in Taipei. My son got the panlong after a second metal attempt... he used panlong and iron first. Chrome? So weird how this works. I'm excited about the odd hybrids. Explaining hybrids to the four year old.... oh my! She's only been speaking English for two years so complex concepts can be entertaining to explain. I have 4, 6, 8, and 12 year olds... all hooked. They've even created extended character descriptions and pretend play for all the dragons. They can talk for hours about them. Thank goodness they get along...I'll support any good game that keeps them close.
I seriously suggest using the Love/Cold combination. I've tried it 7 times and already received two 48 hour waits. Unfortunately the first one was a sun (my sixth). I am yet to get a rainbow so I'm praying the current 48 hour wait is a rainbow.
After weeks of breeding the more successful combos like blue fire/ crystal (& getting my leap year, sun & moon) I tried a combo of flower/storm in my EBI. 48 hour breeding time! Excited to see the resulting egg... Really hoping for a Rainbow! Fingers crossed!
Yeah! You all are probably tired of me touting that combo, but Cold/Love gave me a Sun, Rainbow, and now a Frosty - in only a few tries. And now my daughter just got a 48 hr timer with Love/Cold - she reversed the order.
My breeding cave just opened up so I tried the love/cold combo... 6 hours (Quake?). Maybe next time I'll reverse them.
I used firefly and snow for rainbow,moon and sun. I hope this may help someone. Iknow it's random and not the same for every one.

Longshan- that's really a cool name! We're a little more ordinary in our naming. Usually they use friends' names or people names they like. Haha, your kids sound adorable!
You're welcome! Hey - I got it from this forum too and just want to spread the success! Nothing had worked so well for me either, especially in just a few tries and with almost always short fail waits. I think the success has something to do with Love being a 3-way hybrid. I'm sure glad I didn't miss out on getting the Love!
The second 48 hour wait turned out to be A rainbow. So excited. 40 hours of incubation until I get my first rainbow =D
Still see the Clover dragon and not new dragons for Easter except the medal Dragons. We need another island and more houses trees and habitats. Maybe soon.
Dragons just finished breeding... Finally, a beautiful Rainbow egg waiting to hatch! Now on to Sandstorm ... Any thoughts?

I don't know if it's a bug or was intentional by BF....but with this last update you can no longer see the orbs or crowns on dragons when visiting your friends. Part of fun is making the accomplishment and showing off to your friends. We need to be able to admire each others accomplishments! . Taking that away seems to diminish our hard work Also you can no longer see the dragons in the breeding grounds or epic cave of your friends .... I mean,really!?....does that need to be secret??? Why even have visitation rights to your friends then.
Woohoo! Sooo happy for you! @Deeneez - I haven't visited anyone in a while so missed the loss of crowns/orbs, will go check it out. One reason to visit is to pick up some dragon cash, but it's not much incentive once you reach a higher playing level. Just noticed today that Metal and Plant are now opposites. Yeah, I'm almost ready for another island .. sure hope we get a new holiday dragon - Easter would be great. Assorted Easter-y colors - basket of eggs, like someone said- would be fun!!
