Loving these new updates. Glad to see some people having luck with emerald already. My fav color is green so I desperately want one for myself! I have the dragonsai gem tree but not enough friends so please add me "lildarien" on gamecentre and I'll gift as much as possible. Wait, seriously? That huge gem island holds only 3 dragons? That's terrible! I hope they fix that, and soon...otherwise, those of us who like to display all our dragons will be SOL, in very short order. :-( I was assuming it would hold 12, so we could proudly show off one of each!
It holds 12. 4 sections - 3 in each. Touch each quadrant - different kinds of habitat - and you'll see a different area in the question mark part. Phew! Gave me a scare .. I couldn't see the sense in gem island for only 3. Wonder if we can move dragons around or if they're fixed to a gem quadrant? Wish I had one of those pretty emmies to play with!
Yes, you can move your dragons around to the different sections. The only thing is, if you do this, it starts the count down for your free gem back to 7 days! I moved my Dragon back to its original spot and the countdown carried on from where it had left off when I moved the dragon, phew! Hope you get yours soon! Just wondering if you can have more than 1 emerald dragon?? Not that I'm greedy you understand.......

I thought the island only held three also but if you read it, each habitat of the island, red-blue-green-yellow, hold three for a total of 12 on the entire island
You're welcome! It's nice to have new neighbours! I am slowly going for gold, I have several panlongs, blooms and Sakuras stashed away in the hibernation cave. I feed one up occasionally! I like to keep lots of money in case they spring a seventh island on us! It's going to be well over the 100 million mark and I want it as soon as its available!! Assuming it does come.....
Has anyone confirmed that you can get more than one Emerald? Not sure why I'm worried about that right now considering I can't seem to get JUST ONE!!!!!

I just went to one of my friend's islands and I saw 2 Emerald dragons and is in the process of trying to get a third one by breeding. I hope he/she didn't buy it... Might be a silly fact, but I realized we can get those little party hats of gold from the gemstone island as well! Too bad we couldn't get a party hat of gems instead of gold.
So sad. I've been trying to be patient but my annoying DV (or glitch) actually "ate" my original crystal dragon. He's not in his habitat or hibernation cave. So I had to start a new one. I don't have enough gems to speed up the remaining 13 hours of the egg and I just am not happy! Where is my flipping dragon?!?!? Grrrrrrr I hope none of my others disppear (especially non-breed able rares) or I seriously will be to ticked.
Thanks, Jazbo! I love my new iPad! As for work, that's why they make big handbags and bathroom breaks I am also lucky because, for part of the time, I work at night alone. So I can check in on the kingdom and no one's the wiser. Well TribeZ has hooked me I'm afraid. Guess I am a slow starter. Congrats to you on your Emerald luck. I've had my EBI working on an Emerald and the cave working on a Current. But I think I'm going to breed another Crystal and Lichen and the have both the EBI and NBC working on the Emerald. This turning out to be more challenging (AKA frustrating) than I thought it would be.

Has anyone else noticed that you only get 2 gems in the colosseum nowthat there is a gem island you have to get the dragons to get more gems. I was getting 5 gems a day in the colosseum now 2 and I do not have the first gem dragon yet. I guess I am a little mad no habitats still nothing to do all they are giving us is another dragon to try and breed really. I have to really think about if I want to put more money in this game it seems there making the dragons harder and harder to get with out gems. If there not going to give us more to do I just do not know I will have to think about that one. Good luck breeding eveyone.
catching up... Ok so I have been trying to stay 'current' on all the recent activity (pun intended). Thanks for posting all your successes and failures...so I finally got a butterfly 2 days ago with a new firefly (lvl 10) and a new snow (lvl 7) after many many fails...and have put them back in a few times without further success. I have tried for emerald with lichen and crystal last nite and got a 12 or 14 hour fail (can't remember )...so today I switched them and got a 48hr fail in the EBC. I haven't been successful with any tries for current or plasma either. My daughter however got a current with lvl 10 cactus and lvl 10 water in the EBC (old dragons!) first try with that combo. AND she got an emerald on her second try with lvl 11 lichen and lvl 10 crystal in the EBC. She tried both combos again without success. Has anyone tried to get a second butterfly using the first combined with air? Still haven't got my second Dodo either. The elation from my first butterfly wore off very quickly. For me, it has always varied. The number of gems from the Colloseum depends on the medal value. As soon as today I received a gold medal and 5 gems. Yesterday 2 gems and a lower value medal. I don't see a difference compared to before. It's important to choose the "right" dragon though. The Colloseum seems to prefer high level hybrids if you want a chance on thegold medal. My experience. Might be wrong. Otherwise I confess that I already dislike the Emerald. Strongly. I've been spoilt with rather easy achievments and have bought a fair amount of gems during the past months, but this one is really too much. This update is really ridiculous. Not the idea of the gem dragons. That idea is great, but it is far too expensive to even consider buying. In my opinion. We'll see in the next two weeks. I've seen a gem island with 12 emeralds, but the "owner" said she bought gems to get all the updates. Don't know if she bought all 12 though, or if she bought 2 and bred the others? I'm really not happy right now. I am about to learn patience now. That's for sure.
Wishing you success on Plasma, Current and all of the other dragons, I know how frustrating some of them are. I got both of my Butterflies with a Firefly and Air, both level 10s in the EBI and the cave actually. @Yasha: Your friend probably bought them all; the Gemstones cannot be bred with any dragon, including its own kind. That's a whole lot of gems though @.@
Phew, that's a BIG relief that it isn't 3 dragons for the whole island! I read that and didn't have my iPad right there beside me to check...I was thinking "Why would they design a habitat you can only have one of, which can have 12 types of dragon, but only let you display 3?" Ha, ha! Oooh, it's taking so much willpower not to hasten the breeding of my emerald dragon, so I can see it! But I'm trying to be extra-stingy with gems, as it looks like we're going to have a constant stream of limited-time content from now on, and I might need them for emergencies!
