Emerald #3!!!!!! Same pair, same place (EBI), Lichen on the left. I may just display the egg (getting spoiled.) Finally nabbed that darn Current too. Luck has definitely swung back around.

Just got my first 48 fail, so I'm finally one of the initiated .. that was with Crystal left, Lichen (keep thinking we're talking about the Werewolves of Underworld, haha) ahem.. like I was saying.. Lichen on right, both equal power. And a 12 fail ... Lichen on left and higher than Crystal. I know I'll get there.. first time I've been near the end of a Limited... so yes, I was due. At least I'm enjoying building my egg display. Unfortunately the place I chose to put them is on the opposite side of the game .. 2 islands away. Keep losing the little buggers as I drag them across the romping Rainbow playground! EDIT: Oh pooh, have the above Crystal/Lichen Lichen/Crystal descriptions backwards, but no matter .. still 12 and 48 hr waits
And my hubby is a lite player of DV.. he's kinda like one of the kids playing. So I told him about the new Gem Island and dragon.. BINGO! He's got himself an Emerald in no time. >boohoo< poor me
Used to be Zircon or Turquoise .. now someone (who decides this?) added Tanzanite. I kinda like Turquoise ...... a saggitarius dragon could be really cool! Half horse - half dragon? Whatdya wanna bet they'll do Zodiac dragons somewhere down the line?
Wondered about that too- in the States seems to be more common for the birth month to have the stone. Thus we have May gem dragon being emerald - 31 days in May, 31 days breed/incubate, and it goes away at end of May. Zodiac signs span different dates than just the calendar month - although zodiac signs have birthstones too. Just waking up - typing with one eye open - hope that made sense.
They probably stuck with the calendar month for the sake of simplicity. Btw, I tried that thing with having lichen higher level than crystal- got 48 hour wait first time. Then got 31 hour with the original pair - both lvl 15. Good night everyone.
Made perfect sense Foxy hehe, you're just waking up in your corner of the world whilst I am about to catch some late zzzz's in mine. Sounds the same here too, although my zodiac sign is Libra....it could have been Virgo if I had been born earlier in Sept...but my birthstone is only for the month of September.....there's a few December birthdays on here....any other Septembers....bit lonely Oh and fancy your other half getting an EMERALD before you...what the!!! Did you give him the evil eye ....your posts often give me a giggle....and each time I see your name pop up I keep hoping its to share your own Emerald success I did go and have a read through wiki for you guys....but alas...many frustrated posters along with some successes but nothing different to report combo wise. I know you will all fight to the end though.....maybe it's time for a real good ol' dummy spitting big rant??? Seems to have worked in the past for us DV diehards
Carbon copy for me too...as soon as I leveled up my lichen higher than my crystal (only by one level too) bam...48 hrs....but my original pair came through for me after 6 or so tries and straight after I reversed the order...... As usual with this game....totally unpredictable Thought I was burning the midnight oil, but see you are too yawn....nite
2nd emmie came immediately after my previous emmie had finished being bred and was moved to the incubator. Bred 15 lichen with 15 crystal. Was the same couple I used for my first emerald, but in reversed order. First emerald came from a brand new crystal (lv 15) and an old lichen (15) In the EBC Then as soon as they finished their 31 hr kink session marathon, I put the same couple in the normal breeding cave in reversed order and viola..31 hr timer. Don't know if it was a coincidence or whatever, but changing it up with different orders, different dragons and different caves does seem to bring me more luck, though it's probably just a coincidence. Need 2 more emeralds so I can keep 3 in gemstone island and 1 for egg display. But it's going to kill me if next month the pearl dragon will have to replace one or more emmies..I hope not.. It looks like the gemstone island has 4 parts, earth, air, fire, water. So I'm guessing that means we can keep our 3 emerald dragons until 3 months later when another earth element dragon appears. It's going to be hell having to sell off these prettyful dragons when other new gemstone dragons are introduced. I wish there was just one spot for each dragon to eliminate the choice/luxury/and stress of trying to breed 3 emeralds when really, we all are only going to be able to have 1 of each in the end..so it's kinda pointless, other then gem collection.. Which doesn't interest me much, but does interest me somewhat..... But my OCD makes the collecting part much more important then the gem making part.
Thanks for the Wiki research, Girlpower. I'm running out of hope for an Emerald. The 14, 24 and 48 hour "fails" are killing me and my DV joy. I've been playing since a few weeks after DV launched last September and if I don't get my Emerald (it's my birthstone, too,).......I QUIT!!!!!! I'll take my business elZewhere where there is plenty to do and new islandZ to explore. Hear that BFS?! (how's that for a rant? ) Phew! That feels better. NOW maybe I can join all you successful people! Oh, and Foxy, there is no justice! Imagine him getting it before you, a true DV player?!

I got a kick out of your post. Enjoyed your little tantrum. lol I was feeling the same and ready to call it quits. SO many fails and I finally got a 31 hour breeding. My biggest rant is that I want MORE habitats!!!
Well I wanted to, but instead gave him my best cheery "way to go!"... he does gift me gems regularly after all Glad to give you a giggle.. what this is all about, for me. That and the occasional odd rant... which I may do at any moment!! Another 24!
Time for my tantrum now, I'm really beginning to throw my toys out the pram here!!! Have had sooo many fails for this. Tried all levels of dragons, new ones old ones and nothing. Got a 6 hr and an 8 hr fail going on at the minute. Refuse to use gems to speed up. How come it is so hard for some people!!! Same happened with my rainbow, took me forever, at least that wasn't limited! so fed up
